So the problem with Wifi Calling is with the unlocked Verizon iPhones or are there Wifi Calling problems with some of the Boost phones too?

It is possible this could be a gotcha because Sprint may have provisioned the Moros as non-Sprint/Boost models that lack Wifi Calling (since it assumed that is what you had). Hopefully they can just adjust the provisioning on request.

I assume you have the sim that came with the phone in the Boost Motos
Correct, using sims that came with both boost moto g6 play's 1 shows wifi, the other no go. I think Sprint might have to make the changes but appeciate your input

Most likely it is just the provisioning. I would suggest they compare the provisioning of the two and ask them to make it the same as the one that has it working.

It is a bit unusual because most people have Wifi Calling work fine on these Boost Moto G6 Plays. It should be easy for them to fix.

As to the Verizon-origin iPhones lacking Wifi Calling, that is probably also a provisioning issue. I gather there are issues in this area on other carriers also for phones that came from a different carrier.

Whats the relative advantages and disadvantages of this vs the $25 kick-start offer except the obvious that for the latter one has to pay $25/month ? Why would anyone go for kick-start ?

Have you tried turning off the phone for 1 minute and turning it back on?

Is the phone with Wi-Fi calling on the primary line of your account, by any chance?

wifi calling is on 1 of the moto g6 play, I believe wifi calling is available on all of the phones

iPhone X - no
iPhone SE - no
Moto G6 play Boost - yes
Moto G6 play Boost - no
Moto z2 - no

Perhaps only a Sprint rep can change this since I cannot online under change services and permissions
I have WiFi calling on Sprint branded Motorola Z2 and it works better than Tmobile's wifi calling

Was anyone expecting Sprint to give us WiFi calling this go around? I think it was removed as a feature according to the wiki.

I never heard anyone say that other than in error or confusion - that would be a real shocker and I think extremely unlikely!

After all it only costs a tiny fraction of the cost to send out Magic Boxes and they will even do that to help connectivity.

I do not think any Sprint postpaid plan has ever not had it on those Sprint branded phones which support it. MVNO's usually do not get it though.

Provisioning problems especially with non-Sprint-branded phones are common though. Also many non-Sprint-branded Moto and other phones do not have support for Sprint-specific capabilities like that.

People get confused because they do not see it listed but the reason it is not listed is just because Sprint's system estimated that it was not compatible with that person's phone as currently provisioned.

Yes you can at a cost - it is there in your DashBoard as a billable extra.
No Premium International Experience though (even though it is listed).

Hey guys,

So I have a Moto G5S Plus. I checked the IMEI and am eligible. Saw in the Wiki that I can buy a Sprint SIM from non-Sprint sources for less (e.g., ebay and Amazon). I found on Ting's website that my device needs a SIM with Part SIMOLW416Q, SKU CZ4114LWQ. I looked for these on ebay and found a couple of people selling them. However, one of them stated, "NO UNLOCKED OR FLASHED DEVICES MUST BE *SPRINT." Is that true, and if so, why?

Thanks!
