T Mobile does not have to honor sprint promotion after merge.
It will be a normal condition of FCC and DOJ approval of the merger that they honor existing plans of either carrier.

They will promise it along with a raft of other such undertakings:

"If you like your plan, you can keep your plan." I think they may have already made that commitment.

But it WAS included. You almost make it sound as if it's not included by design.
It was dropped by design when they revised their offer for new customers. They also dropped 1080p streaming from the new offer.

Those who signed up before the revised plan announcement still have it (me included).

I am not following your point.

This is the only bummer of the deal.

Now, considering you can't purchase it, when you try to hotspot or tether, it just won't work? I kinda expected added charges.
It doesn't work period. You get error popups or it disappears from the menus.

I already checked. It is vague as it says "other" that's why I asked the question.
note 2:

pretty clear i would say.

Note 2: For new customers only. If u are a current customer (with any other Sprint plan) , you will be considered a new customer again after 45 days of initial account closing.

forget TM merger...
.Sprint itself can in 3, 6 or 9 months say that the plan will be discontinued.

no contract...works both ways..

nothing is guaranteed..
only thing that is certain is that currently the free plan members pay 0..the KS pay 25

Most likely it is just the provisioning. I would suggest they compare the provisioning of the two and ask them to make it the same as the one that has it working.

It is a bit unusual because most people have Wifi Calling work fine on these Boost Moto G6 Plays. It should be easy for them to fix.

As to the Verizon-origin iPhones lacking Wifi Calling, that is probably also a provisioning issue. I gather there are issues in this area on other carriers also for phones that came from a different carrier.
I wonder if there is a temporary glitch in Sprints software preventing enabling WiFi calling.

I believe the Kickstarter plan doesn't have expiration on savings. The January 2020 expiration is for unlimited basic plan savings. I don't have Kickstarter so can't confirm this though
I guess I read it wrong. The fine print was so small on my phone. So I guess the difference is, you get a free year now and then pay full price after that year or you pay $25 a month now until whenever. For us, we'll shop around when the year is up as we do every year anyway as new plans and pricing are always popping up with all carriers.

No and that's the whole idea. No marketing expense and a chance the customer will not churn away.

It is only available online or by calling a specific number. Sprint made a pretty interesting move here. Most carriers don't make any money from their customers during the first year because they need to recoup the advertising costs (TV, radio, print, web) first. Here we have a relatively quiet and less expensive web-only campaign while gaining customers at a steady, but not overwhelming rate. Both Sprint and their new customers win.

Very good thought!

If so, it may even be corrected now and affect only those who were provisioned inside a certain time period.

It probably only affected only certain models. They are always updating the provisioning process to take new network features into account etc, and glitches occur.

Reprovisioning the line is trivial for tech. support to try so people can just request that as a first obvious step. Most likely it should fix it.

I enabled in iPhone settings today to check it out(never used WiFi calling on sprint)and works but when I tried enabling on another line in account thru iPhone settings I got error. Almost like somehow being limited to 1 line per account. I did turn off WiFi calling but didn't deactivate on first device. Don't want to mess with free plan for option we don't use.

So it does.

They have sometimes used those mid-month expiry dates in the past, sometimes ahead of plan revisions, which could be as minor as a new end of savings date.

"Offer ends Sept 13."

But often they keep inching those dates further out in preparation for some offer renewal or change.

They would have to decide on a new end-of-savings date at the least as we are coming up on a year before the Sept 30, 2019 end of savings date.
