has anyone with ZERO credit history gotten approved? I don't use credit cards or ever gotten loans so I have no credit history.

Will this also work with debit card?

And if I try and get rejected, I am guessing that is bad for your credit score?

Yeah Swappa is pretty decent but the seller has to disclose those items and prove clean IMEI.
Swappa responded that they checked the IMEI with Sprint and it came back clean - somewhere along the line someone dropped the ball. Not sure how I am going to find a newer phone for my wife as her Iphone 6 is getting tired and small!

Sprint.com has pre owned phones. An iPhone7 for $288 full price, but I have no idea if that's a good price. I prefer Android.

To prove that Swappa is lying, test the IMEI again on Swappa and you will see that it passes.

Then try it at https://www.sprint.com/en/landing...hone.html?
and you will see that it fails.

Swappa uses a third-party service which tests whether a Sprint MVNO would be allowed by Sprint to accept the phone. This is NOT equivalent to testing whether you can activate the phone on Sprint postpaid, since different criteria apply (including the MVNO flag, the FED Date, differences for prepaid phones, and the status of accounts on Sprint postpaid that may owe money on the phone).

If you doubt this, ask Swappa how they show differences in their results where a phone can be activated on Sprint mvnos but not on Sprint postpaid.

The answer will be that they do not make that distinction, which tells you right there that their results cannot be used for testing usability on this plan accurately, since we know there are many such cases.

You have no score, so dont worry. If you did, around just 3-4 points are temporarily(added back in 6 months) deducted.

But it must be purchased with a plan, $40 being the cheapest choice. So more like $328 plus tax, plus plan taxes and fees.

my understanding is that a phone can be purchased at full price by any sprint customer at any given time...without the need for a plan change...

whew..feels good to get back on topic

Ah, got it. I forgot the BSparks is already a Sprint customer. But there is a $30 Upgrade Fee, not waived. So basically it is $318.88 plus tax. Not bad, true.

If I had to cheat I wouldn't do it. We are just using the system as it was designed.

The seller on Swappa swears up and down that he checked the IMEI on Swappa and it came back as ready to activate and that there was no money owed. Sprint said otherwise. I like your method of checking. Thank you. I will end up with a phone someday. Cannot officially upgrade yet, since I just renewed on the BYOD plan. That is why I felt the need to purchase a pre-owned phone outright rather than purchase from Sprint.

You can use the same SSN if it has been more than 45 days since the SSN was last in use anywhere on Sprint. If the break has been less than 45 days, you would need to use a family member's, or wait until it has been 45 days. I was not sure from your wording which was the case.
Last time was almost a year ago so my own SSN should be fine. Thanks for the help

if you're an adult and have a social security number you almost certainly have a credit history.

if they check your credit history it will have a small impact on your credit score but it doesn't matter if you are approved or rejected.

I've bought several used phones on Ebay. Just buy from sellers with free returns and decent feedback.

I would steer clear of buying from Sprint. I bought a new Moto Z2 force as an upgrade during the recent sale and I don't like several things about the way Sprint handles things. For example, even though I paid full price on my credit card when I bought it, Sprint goes through accounting shenanigans so that it's actually more than a month before they actually apply what I paid to me paying for the phone. In the meantime the esn shows I financed it even though I did not finance it in any way.

**** UPDATE ****
Yes, the Apple store at the World Trade Center does give free SIM cards.

Does anyone know if the Apple store at the World Trade Center gives free TMobile SIM cards? If they do, can I get 5 of them for each of the iPhones my family and I currently have with Sprint? What's the process?
did they give you 5 in one visit?
I am finally thinking of switching my account (4 lines) from Tmobile to these free plans.
I have 2 iPhone 7 and 2 x. The 7's are A1660 which are unlocked by Tmobile.

Hopefully I don't need all users from the account in order to get multiple sims.

I am also thinking of switching my dad's account that has 5 lines from Tmobile to this free plan. The only thing is that he is on the old Simple Choice plan but has been complaining of paying a lot. This would drastically cut down his bill but at the expense of slightly worse service.
