Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Many have. Have you read the wiki?
I've read the wiki multiple times and maybe about 100 pages of the discussion. There is something to be said of information overload. Kinda forgot some of what I've read.

Quote from seaworld20 :
Thinking of getting iphone 7 (pre-owned) from Sprint.com. Since it it pre-owned, will it work with this plan? Is the price of $288+tax reasonable for a used iphone7?
I got an unlocked iPhone 7 256GB rose gold in "mint" (whatever that's worth on eBay) condition for $335 and eBay is running 10% eBay Bucks until the 26th. I've seen Sprint or unlocked (don't remember) 256GB matte black for $300. Give it a look first

Thanks. I'll bring the phone to a Sprint store and see if they can give me a clear answer if this phone can be used on Sprint postpay or not.
...
would suggest u not step into S store if at all possible

wile this deal is relatively straight forward, the wiki is complicated yet concise and tries to answer many question that folks will ask (some times over and over again)

while there may be too much information , imagine if the information that you are looking for is not there

would suggest u re read the wiki , and this time, focus on the information relevant to you and your situation

Success! GV # has been ported in and is up and running on an iPhone SE. What a great Wiki..can't say enough good things about it.

Thinking of adding a few more lines. Anyone know if the tax increases for every one added, and what the total would be roughly for 4 lines?

awesome

on be half of all the authors of the wiki :

i am glad it helped

Hey Chuck, help me to understand you better. Would you like note number 6 in the wiki to be moved up?? How can it be made better? I would be glad to make the changes.

IMHO, everyone wanting in on this deal should at least read all 9 notes in the wiki to better understand the process.
agree....u will still have those that will complain......yet do nothing about it

typical..is all about "me me me "

The wiki is not very clear... It should say all prepaid and mvnos work near the top rather than having to read all that for vague answers.

For A) existing customers whose 1 year BYOD plan is expiring and want to renew another year of free BYOD OR B) customers on Sprint MVNO's i.e. Tello/Ting/Virgin/Boost, the fastest easiest is to port out to T-mobile using $5 digital T-Mobile SIM card from eBay and port back in to Sprint for another year of free 1YR BYOD.

If you are existing Sprint postpaid customer in the last 45 days, you will need a new SSN (friend/ family). If you are porting from a Sprint MVNO you don't need a new SSN as long as you weren't a Sprint postpaid customer in the last 45 days.

1) First, have your Sprint/ Sprint MVNO account number and PIN ready. Ensure that you have a Sprint eligible phone and compatible Sprint SIM card (Sprint SIM can be reused)

2) Order the $5 digital T-Mobile SIM Card from eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/232903327738. You will purchase 1 unique digital T-mobile SIM for each line you want to port as each digital SIM can be used only/ consumed only once.

3) You don't have to topup/ reload the Tmobile digital SIM. Once receive the digital SIM card number, call Tmobile customer care 1-877-778-2107 to port your sprint number to Tmobile. Just give them your Sprint/ Sprint MVNO acct number, PIN , phone number and T mobile SIM card number. If rep asks for an activation code tell them it is not necessary- only the SIM card number is needed.

4) Your number will be ported to T mobile in less than 5 minutes. Your Tmobile Account number will be your phone number prefixed by 1 Ex: 1 214-xxx-xxxx and the pin number will be the one that you setup initially during the porting or activation process. Note that for each line in Tmobile prepaid, it will be a separate account number i.e. the phone number of each line prefixed by 1 for that line. Again PIN number would be what you have set during number porting/activation for each line.

5) Wait for ~ 20 minutes to verify the completion of the T-mobile port and the cancellation of your Sprint account. Port is complete when your existing Sprint/ Sprint MVNO phone stops working (no calls/ no text/ no internet)

6) Now call back sprint telesales number 1866-782-8777 to sign up for the 1 year BYOD free plan and port back your number from Tmobile with a new SSN if you were an existing Sprint postpaid customer in the last 45 days.

7) After about 45 mins on the phone call, you are good to go for another one year. Verbally confirm that the representative waives the $30 activation fee per line as part of the promotion. In addition, ensure the rep DOES NOT add insurance on your phones to the billing- Sprint reps have been known to be unscrupulous and add insurance without your knowledge. Ask the rep to notate your account that you signed up for the BYOD 1 year $0 promotion for both lines in case the rep misapplied the promotion. In addition, ask the rep for your new Sprint account number and notate this down for future reference.
Last week, I recall some people had problems porting their telephone numbers back to Sprint after they ported to T-Mobile. Is this still the case? I ported my 5 lines of service to T-Mobile over the weekend. I'd like to port them back to Sprint for this BYOD One Year Free. Any updates from the ones who had experienced porting issues?

u doing well.
once ported out , it wouldn't hurt u to contact s and confirm the account is full closed
make note of account number and the exact day u ported out
keep this information secure

i would call S on day 30 and inquire about coming back early.
say ur current carrier is not good signal and u want back in to sprint.
they may say no, u must wait for 45 days.
or they may let u back in.
if they do, make note of account number and compare with first account number

as few have been successful with this approach

good luck.
report back findings
You mean ask to come back on the BYOD free unlimited 1-year deal at day 30?
If they do let me back on the deal in one year, what's the purpose of checking to see if the account number matches?

Yeah, I'd planned to call and confirm account closure.

Just got my second free year setup! I've been off Sprint for over 45 days, so I was able to just port back in using my own information. Took 45+ minutes but finally finished. Now I just need to remove the device protection plan, but the website keeps saying there's an error...

Called to add a 2nd line for my wife's phone today, an iPhone 6s.

First person told me it was incompatible, so I went on the website to verify but the site said it was compatible. I called back and talked to a 2nd person who informed me it would work, but when they tried to add the ICC ID from the SIM card they hit and snag and said their system rejected all 3 #s we tried.

I just bought the SIM cards new from my local Sprint store.

Am I doing something wrong or is the phone really incompatible? It's been used with AT&T for the last few years.

Double check your phone to make sure you actually have a CDMA iPhone 6s -- if its a GSM iPhone 6s (ATT/TMo) then it won't work on Sprint

Double check the SIM card part number you got -- make sure its compatible with iPhone 6s
