Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I think SWAC is an absolutely outstanding offer and am thinking of it as a possibility myself for when my current free plan expires at the end of next April and I lose the hotspot and HD streaming at that time. Maybe even earlier for me if I thought the SWAC offer would go away but I think it will stay open for at least that time frame.

SWAC is actually far better than the retention offers because you can switch up and down to both levels of SWAC once you are on it, and also when there are upgrades to SWAC over time you can get them. Some of these actually reduced the monthly cost in the past.
Exactly! I strongly considered the free plan, but after being on SERO for almost 12 years, and not wanting to lose SWAC in its ability to take on new customers, I opted for SWAC. I will be riding it out for 12 months at the $50 rate (same as SERO), and take advantage of the uber and prime benefits. At the end of 12 months, I will downgrade to the $30 plan, or whatever its equivalent is, as that is when the uber credits end.

The other thing that kept me away from the free plan is the 480p streaming. I often stream video, and that resolution is low enough to where it would bother me on my large phone screen. Perhaps if I had a smaller device, it would be less noticeable.

When travelling internationally, you should be able to swap the Sprint SIM card out for an international SIM card. As long as your IPhone is truly SIM "unlocked" then you shouldn't have any problems when abroad.

Also, your IPhone will have to support both GSM as well as CDMA cellular networks. Sprint is CDMA and most international cell networks use GSM.
Thanks!

Unrelated question for you.

I need to port out my Sprint line for a minute and port back in (not for this deal, but a different sprint offer).

Mint apparently requires that you have a paid plan before they let you port in.

What would be the easiest way to port out somewhere (and where) before porting back in?

Tmobile SIM from ebay? Google Voice? Something else?

Thanks!
NumberBarn
Easiest in my experience may take 24h to 48h.
- One time $5 port in fee
- Only $2 a month!

For those that have ported into prepaid Tmobile SIMs, are you sure that the account number is:

1[phonenumber]?

Sprint is saying that is an invalid account number, and getting a hold of someone at Tmobile in the prepaid department is impossible today (several hours worth of hold times, apparently).

My T-Mobile prepaid is eligible. But the question is can I port the number to sprint? I would like to keep the number, although it is prepaid.

And another issue: looks like Sprint was able to start the port in process, but now my old SIM that was just previously activated on Sprint is coming in as invalid and not compatible with the device. Odd that it was fine on the Sprint network for over a year, but now is coming back in as invalid.

There are levels of SWAC?

Im hoping the $15 KS comes back (highly unlikely).
Now that most people have 1 or 2 years of free cell service, is hard to pay $30 per month. $15 i wouldn't like it but could live with.

Trying to do a device swap to a new G6 Play from Boost, but the Sprint site says "Sorry, but our records show you still owe Sprint for this phone. Sign in to find this phone on your account."

The phone was bought outright from Boost and is NIB. Any way to get this to work?

I called the telesales number and said I wanted to swap a device on one of my lines to a different one that I own. Be sure not to mention that it is a Boost phone or a prepaid phone. It's simply a Motorola G6 Play. Process took about 20 minutes without a hitch.

Nope--looks like my port back into Sprint from Tmobile failed.

The account number is incorrect.

The number of 1[phonenumber] is apparently incorrect.

EDIT: If you are on the "rebellion" billing for prepaid cards, your account number is NOT 1[phonenumber]. It is something completely different. I had to get my account number by calling in a local TMO store, and the rep gave it to me. I then used to edit my port in information w/Sprint and the number was released (still has not come to Sprint yet, though).
