Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I guess I'll need to call Ting back and see to it that the change is in fact made.

TPO is a T-Mobile MVNO and the numbers are T-Mobile so that shouldn't be a problem, I hope.
Their web site clearly says they are both TMO and Sprint but maybe they are phasing out Sprint. In any case I guess you are on the TMO side.

Yes, definately TMO.

It's probably not a bad idea to move on from TPO anyhow. A few
months ago it was announced that they will be shutting down their
USA operations and concentrating on their European side. Still a
lot floating around about it last time I checked, but I haven't
seen anything concrete as to the shut down date. I did see that
they are evidently going to transition their subscribers to Ting.
But I wouldn't bet money on it yet.

No. There's no way to add it on this latest incarnation of the free year deal. However, Boost is currently offering a $25 per month unlimited everything deal that includes 8GB of hotspot. https://slickdeals.net/f/12124963-boost-mobile-with-byod-25-mo-unlimited-plan

Anyone know when this promo will end? Sprint is giving me hell activating a Nexus 6 that I bought directly from Google, yet they claim I owe Sprint for. They told me to wait 48 hours and it should be clear, but I don't want to miss out.
I am in the same boat now. Its a Nexus 6 currently on Mint, but device was on Project Fi originally. I get the same error, and online reps are giving stock answer of phone not compatible. Do you have any tips?

Try to get help from LiterallyUnlimited on Reddit. I recall that information used to be in the wiki not too long ago.

Check the wiki under the section called, "ANYBODY THAT HAS BOUGHT A PHONE BOUGHT INITIALLY THROUGH PROJECT FI (GOOGLE)."

This comes up all the time. You just need to do Chat with Project Fi tech. support (you do not need to be a current customer) and ask them to set the mvno flag to SPCS so that the phone can be used on Sprint Postpaid. They will do it inside 30 seconds, then and there. Then it will be eligible immediately.

Does anyone have a cheaper alternative to the T-Mobile digital SIM? Guess it's $9.99 instead of $5 each now?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/232903327738

Plan to start this guide this evening: https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=117049859&postcount=18122

Reading that and the wiki... one stupid question:

How do I call Sprint if I'm ported over to a T-Mobile SIM but no plan attached to it? Google Voice? Skype?

Check this T-Mobile sim. It's only 2.49 each. https://www.ebay.com/itm/123324067412

I tried this with the FI team and they we're clueless. They literally called Sprint on 3-Way, and that was how I got Sprint to finally put the ticket in.

Good for you and thanks for sharing!

However that is not the way it is supposed to work and many many people have succeeded by chatting with Fi and so posted here in many posts. It is not supposed to be Sprint's responsibility. It was decided that it would be the MVNO's responsibility for a reason. LiterallyUnlimited has written about it at length on reddit.

I think the "they" in your account applies to individual uninformed reps and is not Fi policy.

Or perhaps there were special circumstances in your particular case.

I am not doubting your experience though. Whatever works in any given case at any give time is good!

The whole thing is sort of one big mess.

And the Fi side of it, problematic as it can be, is actually still better (or was until recently) than is the case with smaller MVNO's such as Tello who refuse to do anything whatsoever. Ting is good on this though (being the home base of LiterallyUnlimited).

Thanks man. I actually reached out to LiterallyUnlimited. Wish he still worked at Sprint.

I think the take away is the FI team is the way to go, just may take a few tries to get to the right really.

Now to call Sprint again about getting these FreedomPop numbers ported...
