Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Thanks man. I actually reached out to LiterallyUnlimited. Wish he still worked at Sprint.

I think the take away is the FI team is the way to go, just may take a few tries to get to the right really.

Now to call Sprint again about getting these FreedomPop numbers ported...
If Sprint does not get anywhere with the FP ports, you might try FP social media reps on Twitter. They are much more responsive than other FP reps.

Thanks worked for me! Any ideas on my second question?
I'd say use Google Voice on WiFi, unless someone else has a better idea. Personally I use GV all the time on cellular and WiFi. It's the only number that I give out. If I end up with a new cellular number it is transparent to everyone else.

Exactly what I've been doing for many years now. I'm able to switch and take advantage of promos every other month. I've never had a non promo plan in four years.

Thanks for that info. I didn't see that when I read through the info here.

I guess I'll probably end up doing the T-Mobile. But it can't hurt to call H2O just to be sure, since I already have the sim cards in hand. Plus, a seven day wait to move from H2O to Sprint is no big deal as far as I am concerned, if it doesn't cost me anything extra. As a side benefit I can post the results here in case it helps someone else in the future. If it works - great, if not I can still go the T-Mobile route.
H2O is aware of people porting in just to port out again to another carrier for a promo

H2O lets you port in without adding any balance -- they should hold your unfunded phone number for 30 days

They won't give account number for 3-5 days -- you also need to verify the last 3 calls/texts to get your account number and the only way to do that is to add the min $10 credit and make 3 calls/texts

I would like to sign up in the coming days. Is their any reasonable phone that i could purchase immediately to give sprint a test run. I'm unsure about signal quality and have nothing to go by?

I've been charged $30 activation fee that goes up to $41 with taxes and fees.
After complaining, I had a customer representative telling me on the chat that I would receive a reimbursement on my next bill cycle.

Thanks for the additional info. I suppose I'll just write H2O off as a lost cause in this endeavor. I'll just go the T-Mobile route and be done with it.

If we could afford it right now, H2O / ATT performs better in my area than Sprint, T-Mobile, and in some places around here - even Verizon. Just can't afford it now though. That's why I'm gonna go for this free year deal...

If I buy the V30+ from Sprint.com for full retail, will that end my free year? I'm only 3 months in so I wanted to make sure buying full retail isn't an issue.

The sales representative said that they added phone protection to my account, which is around $10/month. She said I could remove this later. I just don't know how. Please advise.

Is there any other hidden fee? Thanks.

Recently I activated my first line with Sprint online by myself after receiving the sim card.

I called yesterday at this number 866-782-8777 to order sim card for my second line. Rep has charged $2.99+tax and I can see the charge when I login to my online account at sprint.com. Rep also mentioned that she will call back to activate second line.

Today I received call from 800-777-4681 following up whether I received the sim card and this number is being shown on my phone as Top Spammer by my spam call detection on phone.

does this number really belong to sprint 800-777-4681 ??

There are taxes and fees per line that will be around $5 depending on your area. Remove the protection plan immediately via online chat so you have a record of its removal. If you leave it on for more than a day or so you may have to pay the total charge for the month and then be reimbursed for the unused portion on the following bill. The rep should have explained the taxes and fees when you signed up.
