Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

The number I called was 844-229-9564, this was the number it showed when the website couldn't process the online request.

She told me that Massachusetts was excluded ( i don't really believe her, perhaps she was trying to get me to sign up for a full price plan?)

I am going to call the 866-782-8777 a little later, I'll post how that turns out.

I have had Sprint at 46350 zipcode since 2007 and reception is getting worse instead of better. We are frequently going into roaming, no or little data bandwidth, and calls drop or can't hear each other. Been working with Sprint for the last 3 months, but their network troubleshooter keeps calling my wife's phone (Phone don't work, so why don't they call the land line number that I leave) so it never gets fixed or better. It usually starts working a couple of days after I call to report no service but stops again within a day or 2. Sprint might be cheaper, but cheaper for no service is not a deal. Avoid SPRINT or just don't care about using your phone. I have already done 2 BBB complaints and still will have to switch to another provider is I want to use cell phones in my area.

Is it true that we can upgrade after 120 days on the free plan? When I click upgrade in my account info it says I can't upgrade until 2020. I brought my own iPhone 7 when I joined Sprint in July.

I agree. If I was still using Google Voice, I could take the chance and dump the service any moment if I had an issue. I can't stand the thought of porting my number to Sprint -- If I could guarantee I won't talk to customer service, I would have dropped my Cricket line and given this a try.

I'm amazed how aggressive/desperate Sprint has become. Got to wonder if they didn't screw so many customers like myself years ago whether they'd have to get to this point to gain market share.
You can dump the service at any point! Get an eligible phone, get a number for porting from the bay for $5, call the number in the wiki and if you need a sim they can send it for $3. The biggest thing they push is phone insurance, which can easily be cancelled same day by chat or right through the my sprint app. I live in a major metro area and sprint is excellent. They now have roaming agreements with Tmo. Just got back from a south Florida vacation and roamed a couple times with no problems on tmo band 4. I'm on free year number two and loving the savings. $14 and change for 3 phones. Phones with HPUE give the best data experience. I recommend the Sprint version of the LG G6, which can usually be obtained for less than $150.

Of course there are location limitations with sprint. My wife has Verizon for business purposes so we're covered almost anywhere we travel.

The push with this promo was/is to make Sprint an attractive merger candidate. Personally, i would like it to remain as is but it appears inevitable and then prices will rise, which also will be inevitable.

It is true. Keep an eye out for the upgrade banner. Sometimes it appears before the 120 days

Just curious as to which phone you are using and what troubleshooting steps have they given. Carrier reset? PRL reset?

And, have you visited a local sprint store for info? They should know if local towers are affected.

What hodaddy said. Additionally if you don't see the purple upgrade banner call csr and they will fix it.
Note: We are never eligible for the deep discounts paid plan gets but we can take advantage of very sweet blowout deals (like Z2 force recently).
I'm ready for a V30+ for $120.
Bring it on!

I called yesterday the 866 number to activate, went to everything, got approved up to 5 lines, gave the phone number to port in to Sprint and when i gave the SIM # the rep said that SIM is not comparable with my iPhone X. So, i went to apple to get new SIM and now who do I call again, which number, to fish the process and get on that Sprint plan?
Called today the same 866 number since i got new SIM card from apple which apple rep said it will work for my iPhone X. Well, Sprint rep said it is not compatible. So, Sprint is sending me SIM card for $3 now. Hopefully that SIM will work.

After reading this thread for quite a while, I find the stories interesting that involve people saying they've been with Sprint for X number of years and that they have been nothing but trouble. I get the part that people might have poor service in their area or that they had a problem with customer service, but why stay for YEARS if you're not satisfied? There are three other major cell providers. If you have to pay a little more to get the service you want, just do it! Why stay and complain for so long? While I've never had the "extreme" problems others claim to have, I would switch carriers in a heartbeat once the service became subpar.
