My current phone does not support cdma(sprint network) but i want to take sprint 1 year free byod service, can i buy lg v30+ from sprint and activate byod 1 year free plan?
The program is "BRING YOUR OWN DEVICE", so buying your phone from Sprint is probably not bringing your own device.

You can buy a Sprint device from third party .

Horrible customer service . I just spoke one of their reps the. Supervisor-Elijah S. . They said this service is for Targeted customers. Horrible service . The first reps. started arguing and giving me bad attitude towards.
Sprint sucks with their network anyway. And now it's their customer service .they are sending free sprint router for the better network - just like 90's people had a network device booster. Lol . Thanks god i am not with them . Crap Phone company.
Personally it beyond me why anyone would waste time and talk to a rep that doesnt want to help, just hang up and call again.

Never has problem with bad rep because I dont waste my time try to convince them I am a customer, if they said no I cant do whatever I just hang up and dial again.

Way behind what other networks ? Which ones have 24/7 customer service that you can call ?? Almost certain Verizon and TMobile dont.
Tmobile has 24/7 customer care..in fact I was talking to them trying to solve my log in account problem till 220 am this morning..but the customer care is a call center in the philippines..they were very helpful and easy to talk to. Sprint was closed, just chat.

Can I cancel after the first year?
Yes you can. and You have to... unless free, sprint network is horrible. Please make sure, you cannot get hotspot with this unlimited plan. If you are on a call, your data will be disabled.

Agree wth Vangogg. Horrible customer service and horrible network. Just using for unlimited data. I got other plan with ATT as well. :-)

Re: $35/year + e911 fees + taxes.

Which #/area has the lowest e911 fees + taxes? Can we pick to minimize?

Thankfully I just got on this plan! But it's not letting me download an app using cellular data (I keep getting "app over 150 MB, use Wi-fi to download"); I don't have Wi-fi.

My phone: iPhone 6 Plus

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated— thank you in advance!

You can try bypassing 150mb limit(Apple limit, not Sprint)
Try this. Not sure if has been patched.
Otherwise need to find local place with free wifi.

Thanks edog,

Surprisingly the fix was to set the date on my phone to Feb, 2019. Once I did that, it automatically began downloading.

From what I can tell in my area, Numberbarn has raised its minimum charge for a new number from $5.00 to $12.99. It wouldn't surprise me if the good words given to them on this site contributed to it. While in absolute terms it may be small, it represents a 160% increase. IMO, the wise and patient posters here deserve more than our gratitude.
