Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Are they charging activation fee?
Yes if you activate online, but it gets credited within a few billing cycles and you can use up the credit over time.

No if you sign up by calling the TeleSales number ending in 8777.

I have an unlocked T-Mobile S9+. Is it possible to use it with Sprint now or are we still waiting for the brand switching update to go through?

If I wanted to switch devices (one iphone 6s to another), is it as simple as switching out the sim or do I have to call the number listed in the wiki? The Sprint rep on the phone when I set it up (using the number on the wiki) said I would have to wait 6 months before doing so (might have said that so I would keep the protection plan which I canceled an hour later).

To expand on that, would the sprint account automatically update itself to know the new meid? Would I then be able to activate a new line of service using the first iphone's meid info? Thanks in advance!

No - you need to do an IMEI Swap with tech support, not with TeleSales, and this can be done at any time. A sim swap does not help make this easier or substitute for it.

TeleSales is about selling you products and services.

Tech support does IMEI swaps.

You could move the sim since it is the same model phone but you still have to do the imei swap at the same time anyway or it will not work since Sprint goes by IMEI. Doing a sim swap only complicates things a little.

I believe this is in the Wiki.

Yes you can later add the first phone back through TeleSales by porting in a new number.

But if you are going to do that, might as will leave the sim in place in the phone and get a new sim for the new phone. Then do the imei swap.

Swapping sims has no magic on Sprint as it does on other carriers and does not transfer service.

I'd recommend taking that phone to the store and have them verify that it's eligible or calling Sprint and have them verify the IMEI number. If they say it 'May be eligible' but they don't know until it's unlocked. Better have it unlocked first then verify again after the phone is unlocked. Remember, it has to be an eligible device.

Sprint does list S9/+ as BYOD with software update due on 11/7/18. I would be curious to know if Imei passes now or if after 11/7. If passes now you would most likely have to wait for update or flash sprint or unbranded firmware(if possible), best to probably wait though.

Wow that means branded S9 is finally getting brand switching from Samsung!

Branded S9 has always tested as ineligible up to now.

Not sure exactly what you're asking, but many people have been approved for up to five lines on one account for this deal.

No. Tello uses the Sprint network. You have to port in a number from a non-Sprint network for this deal. Details on how to do so are in the wiki.

If the phone is compatible with Sprint and you have the right sim card for it, yes.

You need a compatible model which has CDMA bands. I believe it's A1894. It should be carrier unlocked either.
