Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

This question about eligible phones is confusing and a quirk of Sprint. Here are a couple of tips:
Almost any postpaid Sprint version of any phone is eligible. If that phone has been on an mvno the flag may need to be flipped. Search this thread for how to do it.
Boost phones are not allowed. Sprint prepaid phones are not allowed.
Nexus/ Pixel phones are fine (with a few glitchy models as I recall eg. 5x).
Moto * Factory unlocked* are fine. Verizon Moto's are not.
I hope this doesn't create more confusion. Someone will surely correct my mistakes.

E4 as long as it is factory unlocked. ( Not Verizon unlocked).
X4 is factory unlocked I think.
As has been mentioned by comintel and others, some Moto's do not have all bands and lack all features available on Sprint. Sprint optimized phones work best

sorry, i'm late to the party, can you guys confirm that the NOTE 9 on Verizon will work on Sprint? i check Sprint website and it says "but this device can't be activated with Sprint service. " please help
Doesn't work. Created a thread in sprint community [sprint.com] and they confirmed this. Waiting for Sprint to add this to their database and we don't know when it will be added. I will be getting a MintSim 3 months 2GB plan for $45 to use since I have 3 lines with Sprint BYOD plan.

Sprint is waiting for Samsung to enable brand switching on Note 9.
Once they do, Sprint will add it the database immediately.
They just added it on S9 so it should be few months for Note 9.
I have updated the Sprint Community thread to point out to them that they are failing to give the proper explanation and hopefully we can get them to give the proper explanation.

Thank you for the response. I was actually referring to wiki, which also has "Expired eligible list of phones" which has most of the phones listed in eligible list above it
It is an expired (meaning outdated) list, not a list of phones whose eligibility has expired!
The first of these is what they meant!

The phones in it are still eligible. It is just incomplete now!

Actually the most complete list is
https://community.sprint.com/t5/P...-p/1020211
but it needs to be phone from that list (not a tablet etc) for this offer.

I see what people keep referring to from that 2nd post in this thread. Guess the wording is a bit confusing for some.
Maybe that op can edit and update it?

"Unlocked" is not required for Sprint phones unless they are locked to Boost or other Sprint Prepaid, or money is owed to Sprint.

Other than that, sure you can buy a Sprint phone from someone else and many including me do so.

There can be a database flag problem if they were on an MVNO but this can be corrected.

Ideally get the IMEI and check it on Sprint (not Swappa or an MVNO) before paying.

Right but that is checked separately from the phone.

So just put in any non-Sprint phone number if just checking.

When you actually want to sign up, you need a non-Sprint number to port in, but it does not need to be associated with the phone. You can buy a "number for port" on Ebay for a few dollars if you want when you want to actually sign up.

See - it's all good!
