Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

One more question: DO I need to talk with rep to get my current Sprint account number and PIN or possible to get it online/app somehow?

TIA.

I have an unlocked Note 8. It is coming up ineligible and to take it to the store. If I take the phone to the Sprint store, what are the chances they will fix the phone to work with this free Plan?

I am charged an activation fees of $30 in my first bill. Is that normal or the activation supposed to be waived? My first month bill is ~$35. Please advise.

@edog11, you are the MAN! This is exactly the problem and finally I convinced an Apple Senior support to take my case and go send the request to their engineer. My connection is live and kick now!ApplausePeaceWave

If fails tello then sprint using correct Imei. On swap page is probably Dec version.
Check to make sure you don't have an APN profile as stated above.
Only other thing I have seen in this thread is a wrong Apple activation policy.

During activation today, phone tech told me that if I want to switch my phone, I have to buy a new SIM card. Argued with him for 10 minutes and he never gave up. If this is true, no wonder they loose customers like my head looses hair.

Likely you can find the problem yourself.

All unlocked U.S. Note 8's should now be eligible (both branded and unbranded), but which is it, SM-N950U or SM-N950U1?

To help isolate the problem, try this alternative checker (which is NOT the same one as the one for this offer).

https://www.sprint.com/en/landing...phone.html

what does it say?

Also try Tello and Ting checkers. What do they say?

Does it have reasonably current updates on?

Has it ever been on a Sprint mvno?

Could it be currently active on another account?

Could there be money owed on it or some kind of lien or could it have been reported lost? Do you know its history?

If you do take it to a store, go to a Sprint owned corporate store, not a franchise.

Each phone needs a Sprint sim card appropriate for its model and you can the just leave them in the respective phones. Sprint sim cards never expire and can be reused indefinitely though. There are charts showing which sim card is right for which model.

https://s4gru.com/forums/topic/78...ity-chart/

On Sprint, you swap phones directly by imei, not sim cards.

It takes less than a minute to swap via chat.

Thanks. Second rep is now telling me that with this free promo I can not switch phones. "You will loose your free year if you switch phones". Go figure.

The sales reps (most of them) always say that.

When you want to swap, just deal with tech support (chat is easiest) and they know better. Call it an IMEI swap or device swap. We do them all the time. It takes a minute via chat.

Sales reps focus on the policies that apply to their precious commission generating "Upgrades" which is all they care to talk about and sell (which is their main job), and all they want you to think about. Heaven forbid you should buy a new phone elsewhere than through them, in their mind, so they do not want to help with that. Their whole being is sell. sell, sell Sprint phones and never mention or discuss any other possibilities.

Help.

I have this plan for one line and need to add line 2 & 3.
Currently line 2 &3 are on tello.
Who and what is the cheapest way to port out of tello and back into this plan as new lines? It's been a while but I thought there was a tmobile trick in the wiki but I am no longer seeing it.

The t mo info is still there. Just have to look closer. Tello is a sprint mvno and your IMEI will not pass the checker until the flag is flipped back to postpaid. Search 'literallyunlimited' in this thread. The phone must be off tello before the flag can be flipped.

That's exactly the hell I went thru activating it. At one point, while I was declining their up sells, I think one guy hung up on me.

One more technical question - do I need a special iPhone SE or 6/6s for Sprint or do all of them have the CDMA radios? I am not an iPhone guy either (other wise I am IT engineer)

Yes some do hang up and I think that tells us they are under enormous pressure to sell.

Most of us have given up declining the insurance and just cancel it with support or online two hours later.

It is complicated with the different iPhone models so I will leave that for one of our iPhone experts to explain if they would be willing.
