Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

eBay has 15% off tomorrow (max $100 discount):
https://slickdeals.net/f/12304351-ebay-15-off-coupon-code-8am-to-8pm-est-11-21?v=1

You can find one on eBay -- this seller seems popular for brand new unlocked and no tax:

Thanks!

I found a phone on eBay that is Sprint locked. Is that okay to qualify for the deal or does it have to be unlocked?

As stated in wiki note #1, your first question to the rep should be 'Are you familiar with the sprint bring your own device free 1 year plan?'
Thanks everyone for the help! Repped.

This morning I was able to speak with a very nice rep from Philippine and successfully ported all 4 lines over. The experience I had was distinctly different from last night, even though I called the very same number.

Per the Wiki suggested, I simply accepted the rep's "recommendation" to add the $15/month Total Equipment Protection plan to the 2 lines. Interesting that the rep didn't suggest for all 4 lines but the 2 Sprint Z2 Force phones. I will remove them later once I created an account.

Looks like that seller jacked up the prices -- was $747 and $787 yesterday

You should be able to use a Sprint phone -- some phone reps might hassle you if they notice it

If you have a dual SIM S8+ then I'm guessing its the international version -- that phone is GSM only so it won't work with Sprint (needs CDMA hardware)

Does anyone know the steps I would have to take to take advantage of this Black Friday deal?

https://www.samsung.com/us/mobile...65uzkaspr/

Keep in mind this phone requires signing up for a new line of free service.

I can get this with 500 bucks with my student discount. I currently have a T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 on T-Mobile prepaid service. I would like to port my number to Sprint and purchase this phone and use it on the Sprint 1 year free service plan.

What steps should I take in order for this to work?

The phone is a Sprint phone. You have to sign up for sprint service to get that pricing.

Could I buy the phone, cancel the line, and then open a 1 year free service line after porting my T-Mobile number?

Probably the deal is off and you have to pay a much higher price if you cancel the line on Sprint. It depends on the exact terms. Often part of it is "service credits" that you cannot use on the free plan.

It looks better for Verizon or Samsung direct deals - maybe best through Best Buy.

Also once you have a paid plan you are not a new customer so you are not eligible for the free plan anymore under that SSN for 45 days.

It's a straight up discount. I'm thinking I can pay off the phone and close the line and then open a new one but I don't know how that would all play out.
