I currently have a Sprint account in my name for my daughter's phone. I would like to have her get in on this deal in her own name, but she doesn't want to lose her current phone number. Is there any way we can make that happen?
Several people have been porting out via TMO esim from eBay. Your daughter can then port back in using her info (SSN, TMO pin, TMO acct #). For more information read the wiki subsection that starts off "How can you get a 2nd year free?" She will not need to wait 45 days to port back in

I'm going to try to read through as much of the thread as I can. If anyone has any thoughts or advice for me I'd be super thankful!

My husband and I currently both have ZTE Zmax Pros through MetroPCS. His screen broke so he needs a new phone asap. Mine is fine but I'd like a new phone too if there's a good deal out there.

We prefer Android, a fairly large screen size, and a great camera is my favorite feature of the zmax that I'd like on a new phone. We mainly use them to browse internet play simple games and occasionally watch YouTube or stream.

What phone would you all recommended? Thank you so much!

my favorite phone is the lg g6.
i have tried a few others since (moto z2 force. lg v20)
, but have always ended up selling the replacement and buying another lg g6.

the latest was the moto z2 force.
on paper, the moto is slight better (processor, speed etc)
but the camera is terrible (IMHO) as well as other little things that i could not stand
sold the z2 (used for 1 month) for ~$50 more than i bought it for (new)
bought a mint lg g6 with 15% ebay coupon for $111

id recommend the sprint variant

to summarize, the best bang = lg g6

sure u could spend 3 4 times as much and get a pixel. iphone, samsung etc
but thats more than what i pay for a phone

Hi,
Can you pls elaborate on this topic "IOS 12.1.1" a little more?
I have an iPhone SE and an iPhone 6s which I am hoping that will utilize TMo Extended roaming capability. Both these phones are TMo LTE capable devices, I believe.

Why are indicating that only the iPhone 8 and models upwards will have TMo Extended roaming?

Thanks!

Quote from comintel :
It should be fixed in a week or two when IOS 12.1.1 is released.

Then it should go to TMO Extended roaming (free unlimited no quota) right away when needed.

For iPhones, this will probably only be for iPhone 8 and above which fortunately you have.

I actually love the feel of the LG G6. And camera is pretty nice too. This Pixel 3 is too slim. Hopefully it'll take some time for me to get used to it typing. My fingers are get cramped. Feels like my arthritis is coming back.

ZMax Pro Metro deal got me interested in this entire obsession with all things Android and phone deals in general. I got one of the first ones for $39 and drove the wheels off of it.
I think you're going to love this Sprint deal if you get decent coverage in your region.
To answer your question directly, ZTE makes the max XL for Sprint which is the same basic phone as the zMAX pro. Less storage I think but it works. They were not big sellers so it's won't be easy to find one on Sprint. The ones that you do find were probably sold on Boost and are not eligible to use on Sprint.
So... If I were you I would just look for the cheapest smartphone possible to sign up on BYOD. Then bide your time, phone deals come along.
Also the money you'll save monthly can go toward whatever phone you want.
The important thing is to lock in the BYOD for now. Just my opinion. Good Luck
Edit: Desi mentioned LG G6 ( Sprint version). Excellent phones.
Moto Z2 Force ( Sprint) also excellent imo. Using one to type this. Both are easy to find on swappa and eBay.

I tried to sign up and got the credit check error and told to call them. Got approved and a confirmation number. No plan specifics were discussed on the phone, but I didn't mention the free offer as I figured my previous attempt would have it in the system. The rep said I needed to go to a Sprint store to do my activation, claiming that my phone doesn't use a sim card so there was nothing to be mailed. It does use one, though, but just learned this as it's a new device.

How should I proceed in making sure I don't lose it, seeing as everyone is saying to stay away from stores for this offer?

Thank you to you and freddiez. Sorry I thought I read through all the recent replies but must have missed it. The Sprint site was telling me it wasn't eligible but it's become eligible now. Headed to get the Sim tomorrow.

For my husband to add my phone to his account after he gets that tomorrow I have to port out and back in if I'm already on an expiring free year plan, right?

Sounds like you are good to go. Calling the number in the wiki is the only way to get this. Just mention that you are already credit approved and be sure to ask for the free BYOD plan as per the wiki. Do you have the proper sim in hand?

I don't have a SIM yet, the "credit check failed, call us" error happened while I was placing the order to get them shipped.
