Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Any number can to be ported in from a non sprint carrier. Sprint will not give you a new number to start off this offer.
I just ported my number last night. Rep did not ask/talk about device insurance ($15) at all during the entire process. How can I make sure that Device insurance ($15) was not added on my account? I don't see any option to check when I log on to my Sprint account.

Check under manage plan/manage services. If not listed under current services, it was not added. You can check under add services to see if available but not all phones(like pixels, some motos, and others) are eligible for insurance(Sprint complete) so that may be why they didn't try to add.

The problem was definitely ID verification questions. I didn't know the answers to any of them. SMH lol. I didn't even get a hard pull (which I'd like to think it supports my theory that the problem was the questions). The cred rep even said "we can't verify your ID".

Going to the Corp store before doing anything. I was thinking about doing that too.

When people are asked to go in person for ID verification, the rep over the phone doesn't enter any info in the system about the potential customer, do they?
So it would be like a random person walking in and saying "I need to be ID verified so I can sign up for service over the phone". Or is there some kind of reference # given to the customer to show in store?

Also, since the questions were the problem and it is said that ID questions will also be asked in store, I'm going to assume that I'll fail those too. I have about 5 or so forms of ID, but I'm not sure what Sprint will go with.
the id process Sprint uses is used by other entities as well. It's easy for criminals to get fake id, not so easy to answer questions about where you've lived and what business relationships you have.

Hi All,

Just figured I'd help anybody doing a ATT version of Freedompop to this plan.

I just did it and it wasn't easy but I can help.

Collect your BYOD's:
IMEI
Freedompop cell number (this is also your account number)
Freedompop transfer PIN (follow this link after you login https://my.freedompop.com/setting...-out-info)
ICCID for your SIM card

Freedompop will take until 12AM EST the next day to do your port. (I got an email when the port was complete)

When you wake up the next morning, go update profile and update PRL

At that point, I rebooted my phone and then it worked.

Not sure if this has been answered but : I'm currently on the 1-Year Free BYOD plan. I know that I can port the number to T-mobile and then come back for my 2nd free year but my question is : can i re-use the same Sprint sim-card and device to port back in from T-mobile? Meaning, will the old sim card from Sprint still work (I plan to come back under a different person's SSN) .. thanks !

Sprint is unable to swap my unlocked TMobile note 9 phone? They are just saying not compatible with sprint network when trying to add the tmobile note 9 imei.

Any ideas? I currently have note 8 Verizon and it simply worked fine when using sprint sim, installed sprint apps automatically and able to use it on sprint fine. But, not the case with TMobile note 9 (which got unlocked )

Samsung has not yet released brand-switching / "BYOD Support" for Note 9.
Once they do, Sprint will enable those IMEI's immediately.
Samsung has done them one by one S8, Note 8, just recently S9, 8 months after initial release. Note 9 will be next.

Samsung calls it "BYOD Support": It can also be called "brand switching".

https://www.samsung.com/us/suppor...S00078492/

You can ask Samsung when they will have BYOD Support ready for Note 9. Maybe in about 5 months? Until that time, you cannot move carrier-branded Note 9's between carriers period.

Nah they rarely remember to update the dates on those when they get extended.
Currently 1/31/2020 for everybody signing up in the current phase..
