Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Have had this plan for a couple months. Talk and text seem to be fine, but the data seems to not work at times, even at full bar LTE. Usually less than 10 mins it comes back. Is this what data deprioritization is? Does this happen for anyone else?

Do I need to call the credit department before I try to prove my ID at a store? I have a nearby corporate store and I was thinking of just showing up and trying to resolve it.
That exact situation is not yet clear but I think it is easily worth a try! I do not see any downside in trying.

No and no - that is an abnormal situation to have no throughput at full bars. There are some limited circumstances under which it can occur (such as a defective tower - or more likely small cell relay - in your area, or of course defect in the phone) If you posted a lot more details including what exact phone model you have, when and where it occurs, and ideally what band this occurs on, we could possibly help diagnose and bypass it.

Happens a lot in NYC with E4. Have to turn the data off and on to reset the problem.

Was at a location last night that's always had pretty bad sprint reception. Kept bouncing around from "1x" then "3G" that had no data and rarely LTE with one bar that worked well. I wasn't even using the iphone for hours, but it started heating up. I'm guessing it kept trying to find a signal. I restarted my phone and went to airplane mode.
Didn't even get a text or emails for about an hour at a time.

Has anyone been successful in swapping devices on this plan before 4 months ? I was told by a rep that I would need to wait at least 4 months before making any changes to the device on this plan.

Unlikely. Have you already used 50GB since start of this billing cycle ??

Have you read the wiki? You can swap phones at any time. Easiest to start the process through your online account. Phone upgrades through sprint are available after 4 months.

those are 2 different thimgs.

swapping a device is NOT the same as upgrading

as pointed out, u can swap a device ANYTIME

as far as upgrading, that can only be done after 120 (?) days.
and that too with heavy restrictions

again...read wiki

cause u are obviously confused

Not sure if this is completely relevant here because it seems different from the upgrading that's covered in the wiki, but would be ever grateful if anyone can help.

I signed up for the free unlimited plan a couple of months ago, everything fine and was told at the time I could add more lines if I wanted to. Well now I'd like to, keeping an existing number, and also need a new phone for that number.

Just got a mailer from Sprint with an offer ending 12/2 for a Samsung Galaxy S9 for $5/month on a 18-month lease for a new line of service. I've never been on a contract for phone service before, nor leased a phone, so I'm really wary of messing up the free plan or getting baited into something. Has anyone used this offer, or know if/how this would work for adding a line and phone with the unlimited plan? Does "new line of service" mean a completely new number, or would porting work?
After 4 months you will see an upgrade banner in your account. This is what i see in my account for the S9:

Sprint Flex 18-mo. lease
$27.45/mo.
$100.00/today At month 18, return it & upgrade to a new model, or buy it (via one lump payment or 6 monthly payments)
Includes Galaxy Forever: Return and upgrade to the latest Samsung Galaxy any time after 12 lease payments.

Full price
$0.00/mo.
$792.00/today

There may be better deals elsewhere. Search SD. If you buy a phone outright you can swap it into an existing line at any time.
