Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Signed up last week of November.

They swapped the SIM #'s on two of the lines causing a huge headache and wanted me to buy new SIMs.. 3rd chat support agent was able to fix it without requiring new SIMs or going to the store.

When I ordered, I had the 9/30/19 offer and 10GB of hotspot, they wouldn't add it. They said as long as I had it on the receipt, they would honor it, but that was a bunch of lies. Tried phone, chat, in-store and emailing executive.

Have 1 bar in my house, tried the giant Magic Box -- got 2 bars and took my LTE from <1 Mbps to 3 Mbps.

If the product is so bad that you have to give it away for free probably tells you something. You get what you pay for!

Overall: Sprint is not worth it.

Switching to T-mobile or AT&T as they both have good deals at the moment for 4 lines.

The "you owe Sprint" message does not mean what it says literally. It means the MVNO ownership flag is set on from prior use on a Sprint mvno.

You will have to get it flipped to use it on postpaid (PLBL to SPCS).

You can see if TeleSales will do it or otherwise post in Sprint Community Forum and they will do it (find any reasonable thread there or start a new one and they will get back to you privately, normally inside a working day now). LiterallyUnlimited is now too busy to do these anymore unless you were a Ting customer.

It is not true that only Special Edition Note 8 is compatible. All U.S. Note 8 is now compatible (except possibly Cricket and Metro PCS which may lock to their respective services for longer periods of time).

The lists you are looking at are completely out of date and wrong and should not be used. Use only the list at https://community.sprint.com/t5/P...-p/1020211 which is updated frequently.
Thanks. for the new link. I'm trying now to get phone on Red Pocket Verizon but it doesn't seem to be working. CDMA nto showing up under Network mode so I'm thinking I need to go back to Total Wireless for at least a month while I research how to get this Note 8 over to Sprint. This is a long thread so I have a lot of reading to do and it will take at least a month. lol

Do you think it is possible to go to the Sprint store and get this fixed? Phone has never been on Sprint so don't understand the error message or why even an error is showing.

If I go to Sprint message board, are they going to need to interrupt my current phone plan (when I get one activated) to test it or to work on it? How does that work. I don't want to lose current plan.

Previously when I asked the Ting guy, he said he had to take off my plan to test on Ting. Would I lose the plan that's on my phone? Thanks.

Sorry to hear that.

Not directed to you but to others: SllickDeals is causing tremendous confusion and disruption of people's activities by leaving up all these references to the Hotspot and also obsolete lists of eligible devices at the head of the thread. The Wiki is extremely helpful but don't we need to totally get rid of the obsolete material rather than just adding notes implicitly correcting it?

Verizon MVNO's are always a nightmare for such phones. I doubt you will succeed getting it to work there. That is a whole other story.

There is no problem getting it on Sprint. Just get the mvno flag reset as I said. I already explained the message. This has happened a hundred times. What I said is correct as is. Sprint Store will only submit a ticket. Sprint Community agent can submit the same ticket and will be faster. They are expert. They are an official support mechanism and operate to a higher standard.

If the phone is not currently on the plan, no, it will not disrupt your plan. It does not need to be tested. It will work fine once added. The bit is flipped in the database, not on your phone physically. The phone is not touched.

By the "Ting guy", I assume you mean LiterallyUnlimited.. That's all he would do too.

I'm in the midst of doing a chat with Red Pocket. They seem to be unable to get a year CDMA plan on this phone so will probably go back to Total Wireless tomorrow. This phone hasn't been able to be used since last Friday.

Verizon charges a high monthly penalty to its MVNO's that take phones that were originally activated on Verizon Postpaid so most will not take them. There are also technical issues as well.

I will visit that Sprint site to see what it's all about. I dont' think RP can get this phone to work on cdma. I will put it back on Total Wireless or how quick could it go to Sprint if I get phone able to go to Sprint. I guess I'll be doing some research.

Ting guy said he had to take phone off current plan and put it on Ting. He said that. That had me worried that I would lose my current plan somehow or lose my number.

He is just saying his management will not let him work on phones that are not Ting.

You do not need him to work on it.

You just need to turn off the mvno flag via Sprint Community. Takes 1 or 2 days. It is only a flag in the Sprint database and does not touch your phone and has no effect on other carriers.

Got it. Thanks. I'm over there in the forum now.

Since I am getting readay to port out of Red Pocket and was planning to go to Total Wireless, do you think it would take long to get on Sprint. Just wondering if instead of going to TW, If i should try for Sprint now but wondering about how much time that would take between getting MVno flag off and activating on Sprint. Would I need to have new sim card sent to me?

Oh looks like must port from post paid. This phone never been on post paid.

Was finally able to get onto this today after getting ATT S9 unlocked. Took about an hour on the phone. Rep didn't let me take the protection plan off but said i can do it myself online. Wiki was very helpful. Thanks everybody! Let's see how Sprint coverage holds up.

You can activate immediately once flag is off. Get sim card locally and call number ending in 8777 do not use online activation..

No you do not have to port from postpaid. From any non-Sprint carrier is fine.
