Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Need some assistance.. I read the entire wiki... I have service now on Ulta mobile (t-mobile MVNO) which is $19 month pre-paid. Will I be able to switch over to this free Sprint plan? The phone / # checker on Sprint say my S9 is fine and my #, however, what about the ,"must bring over a post paid account"?

Will this work for me? Also, On Twigby to get a sim, it's asking to pick a plan and put all sorts of info in? IT does not just allow you to add the sprint Sim for the S9 w/out all this other info. what exactly should be done to get the $2.99 sim from Twigby? Would greatly appreciate help with this!

Thanks to all on Slick deals!

From the promo page:

Are international services included?
Yes, our 1 Year Free Unlimited plan includes Sprint Global Roaming, which includes data up to 2G speeds and text messaging in any of our 185+ international destinations at no charge, plus calling for just $0.20 a minute.

It does not include Sprint's Premium International Experience for calling to and roaming in Canada & Mexico.

It does not include calling from the U.S. to international locations, but you can easily add international calling to your plan.
thank you !! repped

Thanks, I might try the store and see first if any extra costs to do so.

I guess they would do the credit check right there in the store right? I'm so excited.
Stores are not allowed to set up this plan. They do not have access to the proper screens necessary to to do it right.

If they try, usually what happens is it ends up being a paid plan instead and then people who try to fix it spend weeks sometimes trying to fix it.

But, yes, stores seem to be able to set up an empty shell account, including the credit check. Then you take the account number home and call in to set up the account.

I would stick to the beaten path myself of just getting the sim ahead of time from the store ($2.99 for the 4-in-one sin kit or you can get the specific sim) and then calling the number ending in 8777 to sign up.

I was on the free Sprint plan for a year. Then I went to Mint Mobile. I just went back to Sprint on the free plan.
Thanks, did you need to get a new sim for sprint when you ported back in or did you need to get a new one?

Sprint to T-mobile porting for year 2: Sharing my experience so others can also be prepared for such situations:

1) I got the ICCID from ebay as mentioned in wiki. Called Tmobile 1-877-778-2106 and started a port request at around 11PM EST 12/5/18. I gave the Sprint Acct number, pin number, phone number and Tmobile ICCID from ebay. First 2 calls they didnt do anything. 3rd call they processed request.
2) I was forced to activate the sim number and fund $3. They assigned me a temporary number, was told to choose a 4 digit pin and told me to wait 24 hours. My account number was not the same as my porting number or temp number. Make sure you get account number, new phone number and pin and write it down. Also give your email id and ask to email you when new number is activated. The email had the account number too. I was only asked for my porting number, temp number and pin on all future calls.
3)Sprint released my number at 12:30AM EST on 12/6/18. 24 hours later and port was still not complete. I called the Tmobile porting department at 1-877-789-3106 and they said it says complete but my number still not active with Tmobile.
4)34 hours later 12/7/18 9am EST - again I called the porting department number. at 1-877-789-3106. They say since this is a Prepaid Rebellion account, prepaid department has to activate. I was put on hold and transferred to some number..30 min later nothing happened so I hung up.
5)Again I called prepaid at 1-877-778-2106, was angry and escalated the issue and was transferred to a customer care number. She tried to transfer me back to 1-877-778-2106 since that is the prepaid dept. I angrily said that I just got transferred from there to her since she is customer care.
6)Finally she put me on hold, took all my info again and contacted the porting customer care for prepaid Rebellion department. She gave my pin to them and they activated something on their end and finally I am now with Tmobile.
7) The most useful tip I have from my saga is - if after 24 hours you are not ported, call prepaid rebellion at 1-877-778-2106 and ask to speak with their number transfer/porting customer care at extension 63055. This was the info I received from the lady at customer care..apparently they have customer care in various departments.

the credit check is to establish a postpaid account with Sprint, all postpaid carriers do some sort of credit check.

It's not to approve the purchase of a sim card.
what?
I already have SIM card from sprint
I don't have account

I wonder what the BBB report said. I'm sure some people have had issues activating this service but I activated 4 devices on 3 plans for friends and family and never spent 5 hours on the phone with anyone. Sprint is literally giving you a free service, there is this thread with detailed info and people still find ways to complain... Confused
I like how some people think 'it worked for me so it should work for everybody'Smilie

It is well established that you you can keep and reuse the same sim and that is what many of us do all the time and it is in the Wiki.
