Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I just bought an unlocked note 9, currently have no cell provider. I got the boost sim pack. Can I just pick a number from number barn and sign up for the sprint free year? Or do I have to sign up to tmobile, att, etc for a short period then switch? Wasn't sure if a number from number barn is considered a competitor?

Did read, wasn't sure if I still needed to be with an actual competitor first.

How long before we can change services? when I signed up, as expected, rep pushed the Sprint Complete protection and I said yes. I am now logged into account, went to Manage Plan and change services but I keep getting an error (it first says no services then gives an error page). But I see the $15 service plan under Manage Plan.

Do we have to wait a day before changing it online or chatting to cancel that?

No. Do it right now through chat. Save the transcript.

I'm about to switch to this free Sprint deal with two lines - one for me and for the wife.

A few questions after reading the wiki:
  1. We are both planning to use new(ish) Moto G6 devices recently purchased from the Google Fi - $99 Black Friday deal. Do I need to do anything on the devices before calling Sprint?
  2. Can anyone recently confirm that the $9.99 shipping fee is removed over the phone, leaving a $2.99 fee + tax for each person porting in?
  3. After ordering the SIM card over the phone, what is the order of operations in activating Sprint service and canceling existing service? I'm currently at Cricket Wireless on a Group Plan and would like to know when specifically our (2) numbers will be ported away from Cricket and activated on Sprint.
Thank you in advance

If the port and line were not closed by end of billing cycle, you will be responsible for whole next bill cycle regardless of usage(no proration).
The expiration date of plans for signing up late last year were 10/31/18 and 1/31/19. It looks like your billing cycle ends on the 5th of the month. So you would have been billed the full price on 11/6/18(for service for 11/6-12/5) if you were in 10/31/18 ending promo. My guess though is your free plan didn't expire until 2/5/19 as you probably had 1/31/19 ending promo.
So your next bill (viewable in a day or 2) should only be for Sprint surcharges and taxes ~$4 if line didn't close by end of cycle or $0 if line did close on last day of cycle.

Just tried to activate a Boost Moto G6 Play. The chat person tells me that Boost and Sprint devices aren't eligible for the 1 year free. Is this new? The list even has the HTC One A9, "HTC One A9 (Sprint Version only)"

EDIT*** Never mind, called and they said it was fine, just need to get tech support to change the prepaid flag

If you have selected autopay, you will be billed on the last date of due date. In my case I get billed on 15th of every month , example for service from 10/20 to 11/20 I get billed on 12/15.

No shipping charges on Sims. That has been confirmed. I believe that when you get your Sims you can call back and they will do the porting. Best to do your porting during daytime hours and coming from cricket it should go fairly quickly. if not check Sprint porting department number in the wiki
