Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Planning on adding my dad onto a BYOD plan when I port my first year out and back to a second year on a family's SSN. A few questions.

I want to buy a new phone (unlocked XR, retail$) for my 2nd year while keeping the same number. Is there an easy way to do this since I'm still currently on my first year with a different phone? ( I want to avoid setting up the 2nd year with the old phone so I don't have to wait the ~90/120 days to update the device)

What do you recommend, sub $100 for a first time smartphone for a senior coming from a flip phone, that can also be used on a bunch of carriers, in the event we switch him a year from now?

You can swap a different eligible phone into your number at anytime as you wish. No wait needed to swap phones.

I just ordered the SIM cards. The phone rep mentioned Ill need the account number for the phone number being ported in. I plan on using a new google voice number. The wiki says I should be able to use a google voice number.

If I go this route and swap my current BYOD to another eligible device before ending the first year, to do the 2nd year of this, do i need to port the new phone out and back to get it on the second account I'll be making for year 2? Or is there an easier way to do it? Most of these alternative options (numberbarn, ebay sim card) seem like they would cause me to lose my original phone number when setting up account #2, right?

Since you're going for year two, you'll have to remove the phone you intend to use, so that's the only method to get it on your new account for the new 1 year plan.
As long as you port your number out (numeberbarn, esim, etc..), it's yours to port back in for the new account.

Anyone having trouble with the network after the move to Sprint ? I am now only getting 3G when earlier I used to get LTE. 😞
I also had this problem on my piece of crap moto e5 play and g6 play (did not have problem on LG Tribute Dynasty). What I had to do was disable bands 25, 26, and 41 to force free roaming on T-mobile bands 2 and 4. In the dial pad I typed to ##3282# and then selected edit LTE (I had to ask Sprint for the MSL code).

Switched my AT&T physical sim to eSIM.

Went to AT&T store and they did it for *free. I was charged $5 for the eSIM. They did it all in about 5 minutes. I wonder if I tried this online it would've been free. I didn't do it over the phone, because I can't talk while a Sim is switching I assume.

Called Sprint and ordered physical SIM card. Charged $3 for the SIM and shipping was waived. Will arrive in 2-3 days.

Upon sim card arrival, I will have to contact Google voice and get pin to port number. Will follow up then.

Couple questions if anyone knows the answers.

Is there a length of time, that the number being ported in, has to have been active? Basically, I have a Verizon account I could add a line to, so if I were to add a new line, could I then port that new # to Sprint a day later? Or if I activated a prepaid service for 1 month, could I port that # over immediately?
Also, anyone used an LG V20 to signup for this plan? My friend has a V20 Sprint phone he doesn't use and will give to me if it will work on this plan. The Sprint community page where the updated list is won't load for me, so figured i'd ask here.

no time limit. As long as its a competitor number then youre good. The V20 will work fine but run the imei through the checker first. All details are in the wiki.

Successfully ported out and back in using those cheap digital sims on eBay. TMobile did charge me $3 for each line when choosing the pay-as-you-go plan. Signed up online again for another year 01/31/2020!

Oh I didnt see v20 listed I would prefer to keep my v30 with metro for true unlimited data and move my v20 to sprint if this is indeed possible.
