Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I am on BYOD plan for past 3 months and I lost my sim card today.

Can I go to the store to get a new sim card or do I call 866-782-8777 and wait for the sim card to arrive?
You still have the phone correct. Then it's as easy as telling the Sprint people will you have a new iccid card which is the same as a new SIM card. Also I'm curious how does one lose a SIM card and not the phone

What about porting out when the 1 year is up? Just port out to T-mobile, for example, and the Sprint account is automatically null and void? Or do I need to contact Sprint to close the account so I don't keep getting charged?
In addition to what come in until said. Once you put it out to T-Mobile or h2o lure your carrier of choice it wouldn't hurt to contact Sprint and let them know that you are intention is to close the account and that in is in fact close

Did BYOD Unlocked Galaxy S9 from Verizon to Sprint on this free plan 12/26/18 in zip 53132. Download speeds in Speedtest ranged from 1.5-30 Mbps during the day with cell tower 800 feet away. Signal 2 bars or lower. Upload speeds range from barely upload at 0.22 Mbps to zero. Now in the evening 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM CST getting download of about 0.22 - 1.5 Mbps, and uploads near zero. Yes, I did all the things, updating PCL, Profile, etc. My Verizon wireless speedtests were 35-90 Mbps down and 30 Mbps up. Free is good unless it creates a problem. For me, the deprioritization of data at peak busy times makes this free plan a problem. I will likely bite the bullet and switch back to Verizon.

I made sure to read it b4 I asked. I checked again dont see any info about this? Am I missing st?
note 0:

Note 0:
-There is no contract. If u dont like service, you can port out anytime.
-You must have your own eligible phone, the specific sim card for that phone, a number to port in from a non sprint "family of providers"[basically a sprint competitor] {it can be pre paid, post paid, from google voice, number barn, freedom pop}.
-While the line will be free [with auto pay], the tax+fees will be ~$4 each line (depending on where u live could be higher or lower).
- Depending on your credit history, most people will be eligible for 5 lines. They can be added all at once or u can add 1 line, see if u like service, and then add the others at a later time. Each line must be ported in and can be added by calling 866-782-8777 .
-Any additional line added will have the same terms (end date) as the original 1st line. (example: u created account in july 2018. 1 Y Free promo expires in july 2019. if u add a line in dec 2018, that line too expires in July 2019). Each and every number (first , 2nd or last) has to be ported in from a non sprint (or non sprint mvno) carrier.

Why don't you try it out for a few days and see if it affects your everyday usage? There are times speeds are slow but does not affect your everyday usage. Some people focus on speed and I understand, but if it is still gives you a usable option for everyday use then that is what matters more.

I am a little confused... Is the following statement correct(?):

So if two people *currently* have existing sprint phone numbers under one sprint account (ie: associated to person#1's SSN), the only way to actually get this free plan for both people is to have person#2 (ie: that's doesn't have an account) create a new account under their Social Security number in Port two different phones (that are not currently registered under the pre-existing sprint account).

(The above assumes that first they establish the two new/different phones with a sprint competitor by signing up with a competitors basic plan and setting up phone numbers for those phones).

?????

I guess what I'm trying to ask:
Is (the above) the easiest way to move 2 existing sprint accounts to the free plan for a year?

I'm curious about that, too. Must have had a non-removable battery. Otherwise, the battery would have been lost with the SIM.

maybe this helps.

persons A & B on sprint paid using A ss number and phones a&b with sim card a'&b'
port both lines to TM.
this will free up phones a&b with sim card a'&b'
then port back into free plan using B ss number and phones a&b with sim card a'&b'

above statement is not correct.
u dont need to set up phone for competetor servcie at all.

if u port to TM as suggested by wiki.
u dont even need a sim card.
just be sure and read wiki so u know what to pay attention to.
TM account #, pin to port , etc.
i would buy 2 sim cards from ebay....$3 each is nothing compared to what u be saving and will make things less convoluted...

There is no deprioritization of data on this plan until you get to 50 GB.

More likely the phone has locked on a bad signal for one reason or another.

The problem is solvable by identifying the band using SignalCheck Pro and blocking that band using tools on the S9,

There are also ways to force TMobile roaming.

But I can see you have already made up your mind so there is no point going into details.

I have been on the BYOD plan for 3 months, trying to do a device swap today, from iphone 6+ to Iphone XR, the XR was purchased from apple store yesterday and it was a sim free version. I did the chat twice today, both reps told me my sim card in the old phone is not compatible with iphone XR, anybody has the similar issue? I think they are the same size? How to fix the problem? thanks for any inputs on this, appreciate it!

That is absolutely true - it is not compatible at all.

You need to go back to the Apple store and get the appropriate sim - it has nothing to do with sim size. Different models require different sims on Sprint, unlike other carriers. It is the Apple store's fault - they should have given you the proper sim for your intended use.

You should not attempt device swaps until you have the proper sim for the new phone. If people keep trying to do it without the right sim, they are going to stop doing sim swaps so readily. I emphasize that every time I mention them and I know others do too.

What does it mean for a device to be on the Expired Eligible Devices List? I currently have an Essential PH-1 on a BYOD line, and plan on working out and back in since I'm at the end of 12 months. Can I no longer reactivate my Essential on this plan? Thanks!
