Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

It is not just the tax rate.

It is the total all-in fees-included cost to the cent, including admin fees, all taxes, plan cost (0) and everything else.

Usually about $4.
Perfect thank you! Will try it out!

Thanks. I saw that, but it isn't clear if that is the tax rate with or without the fees included. I want to know my final out of pocket per month, to compare with other services

the wiki is clear:
cant get more clear than this :

Note 0:
-There is no contract. If u dont like service, you can port out anytime.
-You must have your own eligible phone, the specific sim card for that phone, a number to port in from a non sprint "family of providers"[basically a sprint competitor] {it can be pre paid, post paid, from google voice, number barn, freedom pop}.
-While the line will be free [with auto pay], the tax+fees will be ~$4 each line (depending on where u live could be higher or lower).
- Depending on your credit history, most people will be eligible for 5 lines. They can be added all at once or u can add 1 line, see if u like service, and then add the others at a later time. Each line must be ported in and can be added by calling 866-782-8777 .
-Any additional line added will have the same terms (end date) as the original 1st line. (example: u created account in july 2018. 1 Y Free promo expires in july 2019. if u add a line in dec 2018, that line too expires in July 2019). Each and every number (first , 2nd or last) has to be ported in from a non sprint (or non sprint mvno) carrier.

Do you have to actually call up to cancel your sprint service, or is just transferring the numbers off the account considered cancelling it?

Porting out is sufficient.

Switching back to old carrier. Terrible internet service at home and the other 2 places I am the most. Spotty all over this area. 45807, 45895, 45896
I am also in Lima so maybe I can help out a little bit. Maybe someone else here has another option besides the one that works for us.

You are correct about the coverage but try this.....

To get better data I had to disable LTE Band 25 on our phones. That forces it to use Band 26 which is giving us much improved data/internet. I have yet to see LTE Band 41 show as being used around here.

In some areas we drop down to 3G but that is usually plenty good enough to use, we even watch live IPTV sometimes, even when the phone shows as only on 3G. We normally get 4-6 Mb download and upload speeds around this area. Not great speed but plenty useable.

1) To disable Band 25 open the phone app and try *#*#3282#*#* or ##3282## depending on the phone.

2) Select "LTE".

3) Select "Bands".

4)Tap on the menu, which on our phones is in the upper right corner and select "Edit". When it asks for the Passcode or MSL try 000000 which is the MSL on most of our phones. If that doesn't work you may need to call or chat with Sprint to get the MSL for your phones.

5) Select "Band 25 Enabled" and select "Off"

6) Select "Done" and get out of the app and reboot the phone. It should now be using Band 26 and have plenty usable internet in most areas around the Lima area. We also had good luck when in the Ft. Jennings area of Putnam County. I don't know about Wapakoneta though since we rarely are down in Auglaize County.

Edit to add: I remember back just before Sprint got 4G here in Lima. We were watching the July 4th fireworks on top of the St. Ritas Hospital parking garage and had 4G with 8-10 Mb DL speed - but only there. The rest of the area still only could get 3G at the time.

I am not sure if this info was been posted in this forum.
I ported my number from Lyca mobile to sprint. I was been told that the data limit is 50GB beyond which there will be data prioritization.
There are areas in US where there is no Sprint network and would be termed as roaming if in that area. There are roaming rules that are applied while in roaming areas. There is a limit of 800 mins and "1MB" of data allowed in that region. This is accounted for 30 days after which they will reset.

Few more things I found was that there is no tethering allowed while using their sim.
We cannot access internet while on a voice call. Hope this info is useful.

Can anyone tell me how quickly they were able to port from Cricket Wireless to this Sprint plan? Was it completed in one day and was the line removed from Cricket immediately?

Here is why I'm asking:

I purchased (2) of the Moto G6 from Google Fi over Black Friday for the wife and I. Earlier this week, I canceled Fi service and then called them to release each G6 IMIE as instructed in this Wiki of this post. Everything went fine, and the Sprint website is showing each phone as available for activation online.

I then went into a Sprint store and purchased the correct SIM card package for the Moto G6 (SIMOLW416Q). So, I have both G6 phones showing as available and two brand new SIM cards from Sprint.

My dilemma is that our current Cricket Wireless billing cycle ends tonight at midnight. And I must make payment on that account today. Obviously, Cricket is prepaid, so I'm trying to avoid paying another month of Cricket Service out of pocket, only to call Sprint today and be told the porting process will take several days.

So repeating my question, does anyone know if Sprint can complete both line transfers from Cricket within the day today? If so, I'll go ahead and call. If not, I guess I should just pay Cricket and use the service for 25 days before calling Sprint and transferring next month. Any thoughts?

That's partly accurate but there is now unlimited free roaming on TMobile that does not count against your quota. So leave roaming on in most areas and just check your roaming usage total.

Also "1 MB" is incorrect. The plan says " Sprint may terminate svc. if off-network roaming usage in a mo. exceeds: (1) 800 min. or a majority of min.; or (2) 100MB or a majority of KB" but again, that does not apply to TMobile roaming.

Also data de-prioritization over 50 GB only affects you at times and in places where the network is overloasdeed. Most people never see it.

Yes the plan dropped hotspot and tethering for new users after mid July.

"We cannot access internet while on a voice call" is incorrect for those who have VoLTE or LTE Calling working.

Most of this is covered in the Wiki, which in general is a better source of info than Sprint reps are.

You could port them and see.

If they are not completed, pay Cricket.

Saturday is not the best day though.

I did my porting on Saturday from Google Voice, it went to pending status in few mins. I had to call the porting after few hours, and tell them to complete the Porting today it self and it worked.

Sure it will. By definition that model works on all U.S. carriers. Sprint always accepts the universal models.

Ask them for a Sprint sim when you pick it up.

Call the number ending in 8777 given in the Wiki to activate to avoid being forced to buy a sim and pay a $30 activation fee up-front (creditable later but who wants to wait months to earn it back).

Hey there, I'm not sure if this will be helpful to you or not.. But this is what I did.

I just signed up today. I had Mint Mobile.
I did mine online earlier today.
Then use my old sprint sim card (rather than waiting for the one they're shipping for $2.99) to activate service.
When you activate your sim card online it will ask for current provider account, pin, and last 4 digits of ss# (i believe)

It looks like it took less than an hour for the porting and transfer to complete. I already have full service.

Thank you for that. Can you tell me why you decided to complete everything online? Everyone in this thread insists that calling is both more efficient and cheaper in fees.

Did you have extra fees for completing online?
