Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Thank you for that. Can you tell me why you decided to complete everything online? Everyone in this thread insists that calling is both more efficient and cheaper in fees.

Did you have extra fees for completing online?
It was easier for me. The website is straight forward and easy.

The only charges were for the $2.99 sim card. That they'll ship to you. Since I already had and old sim card, I just went to their activate link. There you can port your number to sprint.

I didn't see any other fees.

FYI
Your $30 activation fee is waived as part of this promotion. The fee will appear on your first bill and a credit will appear within 2 bills.

Is the $30 fee and subsequent fee credit guaranteed?

If so, I have a tough time understanding why everyone suggests that calling is superior to completing the process online...?

Yes, I know this. I didn't see this charge, so I figured it would be added to the 1st month bill. It was no biggie for me. Thanks!

What activation link did you use for this free plan with an existing SIM?

The link in the wiki: https://sprint.com/activatenow

Asks for a bunch of information that isn't relevant for me (I purchased SIM cards in a store) and won't proceed even after entering my information.

You are forced to buy a sim (even if you already have one) and most people wait for it to arrive if you order online.

Another reason, among others, is it's a nightmare to sort out the mess when people have trouble activating using the sim that eventually arrives, and end up trying to activate over again by phone and then they reach the wrong department who says the deal is over and when they eventually do call the right number the agent cannot find the original order etc. etc.

We've seen quite a few of those.

But, people want to completely ignore all advice and reevaluate everything from scratch based only on what Sprint says, and go out of their way to criticize suggestions that were offered......

Genuine question, because it's tough to understand exactly what you mean.

How does what you've written apply if someone (me) has SIM card in hand, after purchasing directly from a Sprint store?

Yes, that's the correct link when you're going to activate your account. As long that you already signed up via the online form and were approved this should work.

Signed up via what online form?

I have two eligible phones and two SIM cards purchased directly at Sprint. That's it.

Through the promo link [sprint.com]. You need to signup and be approved first.

Then you can activate the sim card.

Can anyone tell me how quickly they were able to port from Cricket Wireless to this Sprint plan? Was it completed in one day and was the line removed from Cricket immediately?

Here is why I'm asking:

I purchased (2) of the Moto G6 from Google Fi over Black Friday for the wife and I. Earlier this week, I canceled Fi service and then called them to release each G6 IMIE as instructed in this Wiki of this post. Everything went fine, and the Sprint website is showing each phone as available for activation online.

I then went into a Sprint store and purchased the correct SIM card package for the Moto G6 (SIMOLW416Q). So, I have both G6 phones showing as available and two brand new SIM cards from Sprint.

My dilemma is that our current Cricket Wireless billing cycle ends tonight at midnight. And I must make payment on that account today. Obviously, Cricket is prepaid, so I'm trying to avoid paying another month of Cricket Service out of pocket, only to call Sprint today and be told the porting process will take several days.

So repeating my question, does anyone know if Sprint can complete both line transfers from Cricket within the day today? If so, I'll go ahead and call. If not, I guess I should just pay Cricket and use the service for 25 days before calling Sprint and transferring next month. Any thoughts?
my last Cricket port to this BYOD was on a Sunday.

Took ~20 minutes after I hung up with 8777 setting up my daughter's new account.

you may also need to update both PRL & device config in your G6 carrier settings.

You can just call the number ending in 8777 given in the Wiki and sign up right now if you have a number ready to port in.

(Some people prefer signing up online and they are certainly entitled to their opinion, but doing so in your case would only cost you money needlessly and delay things.)

In terms of porting from Cricket, I would do it pretty soon now if you want to to it today. It is usually not good to do it too late in the evening - the porting support staff go home at a certain point.

You might want to call Cricket and ask them if you have a day or two's grace to complete a port out if you start it today - they may well reassure you on that.
