Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

nope.i think they changed the policy of using phone number as account number.. ( can any one confirm that )mine is still in porting process , they told me to call once its ported..have you called them again ?
I got a DM from geewitz123 saying that his tmobile account # was just 1+phone number. His post was just a week ago; so hopefully tmobile still use 1+phone number as account # for prepaid.

Yes, I can confirm mine was different... but no one on this thread believed me at that time.

If you know the PIN you can give Sprint the phone number with 1 as the account number and PIN that you know. Then if there is an issue, run to the T-Mobile store and get the SIM, get the info texted to yourself and then use Sprints porting portal to correct the account number. Sprint has a decent system so you can do it without talking to someone, but they start calling you after a day... nonstop if you don't take care of it.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try it tomorrow.

Mine ported very quickly, while I was on the initial phone call with tmobile. On the 2nd call, to get the account #, the rep insisted that I have to provide the temporary PIN that he texted to my phone #. This, of course, didn't go anywhere because I used a virtual SIM.

I think I recall I've read here before if the account number is not your "1+10 Digit" number, than if you provided them an email while porting in, the account number would be in a welcome email? Maybe Ymmv.

Unfortunately, the 1st tmobile rep didn't ask me for an email address.
I found a reddit thread that says that tmobile prepaid account # is now different than phone #. https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/...onger_the/
This was posted 5 months ago.
So, I guess I will need to make a trip to a tmobile store.

I started a pay as you go account using a TMo "digital sim" I bought on eBay in November and my account number was my 1+phone number which I used to port into sprint,

Hey everyone,

I have a Moto X4 being shipped to my house and I have been trying to get a SIM card. Tried two sprint stores but they didn't carry them (non-corporate).

I found two possible links online for the sim card:

https://www.sprint.com/mysprint/shop/accessory/ao_details.jsp?accSKU=121700244&accCatId=78300001&dev... [sprint.com]

https://www.sprint.com/mysprint/shop/accessory/ao_accessorywall.jsp?accCatId=78300001&deviceIndepend... [sprint.com]

I think it is the first one but not completely confident. Or should I just call telesales and order the SIM card?
The 4-in-one kit includes sims for all phones. Hodaddy mentions it. It is $2.99 at any Sprint corporate store. Non-corporate stores are not a reliable source as they can charge anything they like or refuse to sell you a sim at all.

no one can tell. but i have the exact phone and the sim PART number is SIMGLW416Q
We know very precisely all the correct sims for every phone.

As hodaddy mentioned, see the detailed chart in the Wiki.

Also the $2.99 4-in-one kit available at any Sprint corporate store includes sims covering every phone as well.

But the individual sim you mentioned is fine.

Sorry if this is a silly (or poorly phrased) question but I really did look for the answer:

Since I need to use my spouses SSN, is it going to be an issue since I am not the same gender?… I mean, I will be setting it up under my spouses name as well...so are they going to have a problem with the fact that I am obviously not them?

(Note: I've read that other people have used their spouses SSN but in today's day and age it doesn't really imply a different gender so I just thought I'd ask).

When I signed up last year, I had to answer a few questions to verify my identity. So it's best to have your spouse on the phone with you. She/he should be able to tell the rep that you represent her/him.

I did the whole process yesterday and the t-mobile account number was NOT 1+my number. It was some different number.

You should not pretend to be your spouse.
That would not be acceptable or legal and is not the idea.
The idea is that the spouse opens the account and is legally responsible for it.
The Sprint reps are fine with you calling in for your spouse provided you are in the same room together and you pass the phone to the spouse to give the final ok. There are probably variations of that that they would accept too.

Good to know, I was just responding to that poster about the info from 5 months ago in the link since I signed up as recently as Nov.
From what I've read here some of us are getting different numbers, others are still getting their phone number as the account number. So it still varies which is why it's important to ask TMo before trying to port out to avoid further issues and delays with porting.
