Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Curious if anyone here is using a Wells Fargo credit card to pay the monthly bill solely for their device protection coverage (up to $600). I'm not sure they would cover phones on this plan since the monthly bill really just consists of taxes and figured SD'ers would know more than a general wells CSR.

Sprint customer service is one of the worst... I have already signed up for this deal and Sprint created my account. I am currently on T-Mobile and want to keep my same phone number. it's been 3rd time I am calling them to port in my number and none of the agent is able to help me so far. They are keep transferring to different depts. Anyone else faced this same issue while porting in your phone number to sprint?

Can you still add a paid line to your byod account through Best buy . com? I thought you could as long as you were porting in a number and if you wanted a new number had to go to the store.

Porting in a number is a requirement of opening this plan.

This is specified when you set up the account. You cannot set up a free-plan account without doing so if you are on the free plan.

If you did not do so, be careful that you are not on some other plan.

What stage exactly are you at now?

If you are waiting for port completion, call the the Port status number given in the Wiki.

I am on call with them from last 1 hr. I went to sprint store also but store people could not help and asked me to call customer service. Yes port in is the requirement and I have told them that I am signing up for this free 1 yr deal, so far no help. Frown it's so surprising that I have to explain it to them and they are not able to understand

You cannot get this special offer in store or by calling general Sprint numbers.

You have to call the special number ending in 8777 given in the Wiki (post 3 in this thread) or by signing up online.

For Samsung devices, just add DUN to the APN to enable native hotspot, no root nor app required.

Can you please explain on how to do this? I have a Samsung device.

You are the best. Thanks. Just double check and confirm my plan end day. It's indeed 04/30, chatted with agent told me 1/30. Now preparing for another year using a new ssn. May be I am too impatient to wait another months or two, really afraid that the plan may end suddenly to miss it. This is actually the best saving I made from slickdeals. Thanks so much as always.

Good - so is it ok now?

If not, what is the issue and where exactly does the issue arise?

Basically you give them your phone IMEI and your phone number that you want ported in and the ICCID on the sim card and they do the port in automatically for you. (You have to give them the port out details from your current carrier).

If you do not have the sim card yet, best get it first before signing up.

It is best to get everything sorted out ahead of time here rather than asking them questions.
