Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Yes they will work. Yes I guess you could consider them better than digital ones. You can put them in your phone and have working service with them for a little bit.
Thanks. That's good to hear.

The swapping of phones is so hit or miss through phone/chat. I had swapped two phones in the recent past and the experiences were bad. This is the better one

Got the new SIM card from Apple for a iPhone XR. Verified from Wiki that it is compatible.

Called CS as chat was disabled from Account dashboard.. Spent more than half an hour giving them the IMEI/ICCID information. Lady says she is getting an error and thinks the SIM is incompatible. She offers to setup an appointment at the store. I tell her the store cannot activate phones on this plan (from previous experience and wiki). She tells me I can atleast get the SIM and call her back. She takes my zipcode and gives me an appointment at a store 22 miles away. I ask her why not a store which is 6 miles away. She checks that and says she made an appointment.

I go to the store. The guy says he doesnt see an appointment but the store is empty. So he takes my ID and checks the account. Takes my new phone and says the SIM is correct.

So I call customer service again from there and go through the whole thing again i.e. provide the IMEI/ICCID. This tie viola there are no errors and it goes through. I am not sure what to say. Be happy that it went through or be upset at wasting an hour in the morning. I just say thank you and go home.

So lesson learned is if your verify everything from the Wiki dont take their word about getting an error. Call again after some time.

Have you tried restarting your phone?
Yes numerous times, refreshing profile, etc. I have found that the general data reliability is much better with phone mobile networks set to CDMA instead of auto or 4glte. CDMA is slow but at least I don't see page not found or hourglass timeouts.

I have ported out of Sprint in Nov 2018 after my first free year of ended and planning on getting sprint for a second year after waiting 45 days which I am well over. However I just checked now my old sprint.com login still works. Is that how others who got a second free year find it ?

when you get a second free year after waiting for 45 days does sprint link it back to the original online profile or you have to open a new one ?
Does this pose any issue in getting a second year ?

Why don't you try it out for a few days and see if it affects your everyday usage? There are times speeds are slow but does not affect your everyday usage. Some people focus on speed and I understand, but if it is still gives you a usable option for everyday use then that is what matters more.
My monthly data use in real life is less than 2gb monthly. In the past 29 days on this Sprint BYOD with Galaxy S9, I have had a ton of dropped calls. Data access is sketchy pretty much everywhere I go. If I bother to look, it's almost always 1-Bar. Free is good, but the deprioritization, and slim coverage is not going to work out for me.

Cool, at least you gave it a try. Exactly, if it doesn't work even if it is free, move on. There are a lot of other choices, you just have to look it up.

True. It doesnt work for everyone. I don't use it for my phone. But for my son who just needs it for emergencies and use a lot of data when we travel, its perfect. In the northeast we seem to have good coverage when traveling

I received an email from Sprint today asking me to review my purchase of an iPhone 7 Plus 32GB.

I did not purchase any phone from Sprint nor do I have that model.

I checked my account online and don't see any purchase history saying I bought a phone.

Should I just assume someone in marketing screwed up?

[I signed up for the BYOD plan at the beginning of this month.]

Yes that's all normal and none of it is a problem.

You will have to set up a new account from scratch.

Reports are that this loophole was closed. People have not been able to activate these phones in recent months. One person on reddit did recently get one on but that was probably a fluke because the model information on that one got all mixed up online.

Overall I've been pretty pleased. Can't beat less than $8 a month for 2 lines! But a couple things have been irritating. I just performed the steps for troubleshooting in the wiki, and hopefully that will help with data connection.

But there's one thing I could use help on please - has anyone been able to figure out how to get voice and data to work at the same time on the Samsung Galaxy S9+?

I'm usually at home or somewhere with wifi, but when I'm not...it's infuriating having to wait. Also I have a friend who wants to help me with something via video call tomorrow.Any ideas for work-arounds for that? (not sure if Skype or something could work on data only and allow a video call?)

Thanks so much!
