I should have been more clear. I have swapped from my Nexus 6 to my current note 8 however after just reading the comments above about issues with the note 9 I was a bit concerned.

Well the Factory Unlocked models have always lagged the branded models in carrier-spedific features up to now.
The exposure has been Visual Voicemail, sometimes Wifi Calling, sometimes VoLTE, sometimes Roaming and a few obscure things.

But we will have to see what is the case with S10. I think it may be better this time.

Most people are not too worried because these features are spreading to more and more phones so hopefully that will included factory-unlocked S10.

Thanks! I enabled wifi calling in the settings and a pop up comes up when making a call that says call made on wifi. So that works.

I don't see anything for Visual VoiceMail anywhere on the phone. May have to download app like you mentioned.

I bought SignalCheck Pro for $1.99. Though just learning how to use it. Kind of confusing.

I went into ##DATA# and disabled Band 25, 26 and 41. (Are there any others?) However in the top left corner, it says LTE 26. So maybe I didn't disable them correctly. SignalCheck also says I'm on Sprint B26.

I don't see any Sprint apps on the phone. I guess that's normal for an unlocked phone?

Fun to play with this stuff. Thank you for info!

Yes it does.

I would check if Visual VoiceMail is there. I think not but you should be able to add a version from PlayStore.
I would check if Wifi Calling works.
I know VoLTE does not work yet but it does not work yet on the branded version either quite yet.

Most important right now may be the Roaming issue. Someone on Howard Forums has posted that his will not roam on TMobile. You might want to disable the Sprint bands (https://slickdeals.net/f/10235008-sprint-byod-1-year-unlimited-talk-text-data-free-w-eligible-device-sim-req?v=1&p=125265844&src=SiteSearch#post125265844) and see if it goes over to TMobile.

You need LTE Discovery or better SignalCheck Pro paid version to monitor the bands.

Most of these should be remedied by updates that are in the pipeline though so I would not be too concerned.

As long as Sprint let's me do it I'm not too worried about those features immediately.

Thank you for this and all other replies in here. Your constant help in here is very appreciated.

Yes. You are referring to The 32 gb/3gb ram unlocked version from BestBuy with Cricket refill?
Works well, no WiFi calling or VVM
Edit: That deal appears to be dead.

Customers on the free 1-year Sprint BYOD (info) or Kickstart (info) plans are not eligible to upgrade their promo lines to receive this offer. However, you may add a standard Sprint postpaid line to your account to be eligible for this offer on that line.

Unless you're talking about some other X4 deal.

From da Wiki: "1c: If you insist on ordering online, there will be a activation fee of $30 (which may be credited after 2 months) along with a sim card fee ($2.99 ea. and $10 shipping & handling + tax) Once you receive the SIM you MUST activate it online here at this link- https://sprint.com/activatenow"

SignalCheck Pro is well worth it. It gives more detail than others but only on the paid version that you now have.

As for the bands, you have to reboot after changing the settings for them to take effect.

Yes that's good that Wifi Calling is working.

People like the reduced bloatware alright on the factory unlocked model..

Just restarted phone and now I'm on 1xRTT now. I don't see where to turn that band off though. Just from quick reading, it appears 1xRTT is slow as molasses.
