Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Just wondering if LG G6 is compatible with this Sprint free one year plan? If it does, which version should I buy? I know it is not on the compatible devices list but somebody mentioned getting a LG G5 which made me wondering if LG G6 can be used too. Thanks.

Seriously? Again? Go the sprint promo link and read the FAQ's

Or go back and read today's posts. And then go read the wiki.

Thank you very much for all the process information. My phone in transfer went quick after a long wait time for CS Rep. They did not even bother trying to sell me insurance or any other perks on plan. Hot dauuuum that was cake.

For my Fiance I ported in a E4 Plus with Google Voice unlocked number. This allowed me to get her a Northern VA phone number (She was on Verizon Sim with an Pennsylvania phone number)

I have been on sprint my entire life and have not one issue with them. I live in Northern VA and the service has always been excellent for me. I run everyone in the house off my S7 Edge data with no issues. (during comcast outages)

The only thing was that they tell you 5-10 minutes to port in. I think because of how google works it is delayed unless you do the following. Again thank you for all the detailed information!!!

PORT STATUS AND COMPLETION INFO:
Google Voice seemed stuck in porting limbo for over a day. Found this link which gave status and aid to call in. 5min later its ported and activated
https://shop2.sprint.com/en/wlnp/check.shtml
Call: 866-437-1818
** Google Voice (bandwidth.com) is considered a landline phone provider, and may take up to 3 days to port. If you call the # above, they will do it right away for you.

"Are international services included?
Yes, our 1 Year Free Unlimited plan includes Sprint Global Roaming, which includes data up to 2G speeds and text messaging in any of our more than 200 international destinations at no charge, plus calling for just $0.20 a minute."

and also includes the ability to buy high-speed data passes at very reasonable cost as you enter each country.

So I can't fully activate my iPhone 6 port in from T-Mobile, what gives? I've been to four different sprint stores and spent hours on the phone with customer support, and this still hasn't been resolved. I guess I may have to port out and try to port back in? It's saying Sprint for a millisecond then reverts to saying "no service" for the rest of the day.

You probably have model A1549(no band 41 by the way).
If you have A1586 then probably not the activation policy problem.
I assume they double checked imei and iccid, ran codes ##clear# and ##update#. Best guess activation policy is 10 instead of multimode 2303. So is not allowing CDMA.
You'll probably need to order Apple gsx report from eBay for 99 cents. Then contact Apple to update activation policy.

Search thread for activation policy(need to use full site browser not SD app to search).
Do I recall correctly that
- they can check that easily by getting the GSX report (99 cents on EBay) or I suppose contacting Apple and getting them to check
- this typically occurs where the phone was bought outside the U.S. (and if so perhaps not officially supported by Sprint)
- remedy would be to get Apple to adjust the activation policy, but they may refuse?

It can happen on US models as well. Especially if model A1549 which at launch had a cdma version sold thru Verizon and Gsm version sold by att, T-Mobile.The hardware was same but activation policy 10 would not allow on cdma.
A1586 sold thru Sprint was cdma capable.
Yes Apple may not update especially if bought outside US but a couple people also were able to get updated with US purchased(assumption since they did not mention non US)
I adjusted my post

Yeah at iPhone 6 launch Sprint and Verizon would not allow byod iPhones unless the part/order numbers were for Sprint(Sprint) and Verizon(Verizon). That of course has changed since.
This view is my understanding so may not be completely accurate though. Macrokelvin would be expert on this.

I had two numbers on the free deal with sprint, second added 2 months after the first. As soon as the first number expired I ported that line out, next billing cycle i'm getting hit with $60 bill because they claim that both lines expired as soon as the earliest line expired. This is not what customer service told me a year ago with i inquired about adding a second line.

After bitching to CS, I was told they will remove the charge but still have not done so...just be aware that if you are porting more than one line and you are not doing it at the same time its probably best to create a second account.
