Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Does anyone know sprit works well in NYC? Tmobile doesn't work in my apartment/office so i had to switch to verizon
Works just fine now. I use it normally in Manhattan, and commuting through Queens and Brooklyn.
A few years back while I was on a Sprint MVNO, had some data issues only when I would be at work in midtown, inside a large building.

I had an issue and went to a corporate store

I asked if they could give me a sim card since I needed one and they said they couldn't since I'm not a costumer. This is despite reports ive read here about corporate stores being able to help.

I just wanted that Pre owned iPhone 7 for 249. I ended up not getting anything because they were no help and I kept getting a red bar when I tried to order from the website.
No, corporate stores don't readily hand out free SIM cards.

The pre-owned iPhone cannot be ordered from Sprint without also getting a paid Plan.

Best place to start and soak everything in is the wiki post:
https://slickdeals.net/f/10235008-this-post-can-and-should-be-edited-by-users-like-you?p=100910948
In the wiki it suggests to port a GV # to h2o and use that to port into Sprint. It says total cost $3 (which is what GV port costs), implying that the h2o SIM is free? I couldn't find it free anywhere, any suggestions?

I've been using iPhone 6s with this plan for about 8-9 months now but it looks like my phone is going to die soon. Can I buy an unlocked iPhone 7, 7s, or later model from Apple directly and just put the SIM card I'm using in the new phone? Or would doing that void/cancel this free plan? TIA.

Apple will give you another SIM for iPhone you gonna buy, then you will need to do IMEI/SIM swap online in your account to link it to your number. Old SIM for 6s won't work with newer iPhones.

Actually 6S and 7 take the same sim cards (see chart linked from Wiki) so you could reuse the sim card in that case (although there is no advantage in doing so - you can not JUST move a sim card ever without also updating the system - so you are still better to get a new sim in my opinion)..

However I suggest get iPhone 8 or later so as to have VoLTE - with iPhone 7 your phone would not have simultaneous voice and data on Sprint and would be dependent on to-be-obsolete CDMA for voice. For iPhone 8 or higher, you do need a new sim card (which is needed to support VoLTE by the way)..

In either case you have to go through a simple procedure called a device swap - see the Wiki for how.

It will not affect your plan.

Is it a prepaid phone (Boost etc.)?

Most phones on RingPlus were prepaid phones and those are never going to go on this plan anyway, FED notwithstanding, no matter what.

All of mine were and are. In all likelihood yours is also.

Even when he was doing mvno flags, LiterallyUnlimited would never touch prepaid phones.

The prepaid flags are completely different from the mvno flag getting set on a postpaid phone, which is the only case that can be put on this plan after flipping the mvno flag to SPCS.

The vast majority of Ring Plus phones cannot go on this plan at all, ever.

You can call Ting support and they can look at it since they took over the line from RingPlus. People say they will do so, even for phones long gone elsewhere since.
No I got these Moto G4 phones unlocked and not Boost/Virgin Mobile ones. Since I got out of Ringplus,I used Cricket for almost 2 years until I want to switch to Sprint.

OK good in that case I would suggest calling Ting technical support and asking them to revert the MVNO flag to SPCS in the Sprint database as you now wish to use them on Sprint postpaid and they were last on Sprint's network on Ting following RingPlus.

The flag is in the Sprint device database. They can revert it from PLBL to SPCS.

Unless you phrase it just right they often pretend not to understand what you want though. But push and escalate and they have done it for many people.

Also before that just try testing it in Ting's checker and sometimes just that alone reverts it.

Sprint allows port ins directly from GV. Read wiki again.

Here's the "fee" breakdown, so not quite free, but almost...
To take advantage of these great savings and have your phone work on the Sprint network, we'll send you a Sprint SIM card for each eligible phone.

Your next steps:

You'll set up your account and pay $2.99 per SIM card, plus taxes and $10 for overnight shipping
You'll also agree to automatically pay monthly taxes and fees (including a $1.99/mo./line admin fee)
On your bill, you will see a plan charge of $5/mo. and a -$5/mo. credit for AutoPay
We'll send the SIM(s), tell you how to activate it, and switch your number to Sprint
Activate your SIM and get 1 year FREE Unlimited talk, text and data on the Sprint Unlimited – Bring Your Own Phone plan
Can we go to a sprint store to save on the shipping charge for the sim?

Yes, it'll be just $2.99 for the SIM kit at the Sprint store. If you're lucky, you might even get it free.

They're waiving the $10 shipping charge now anyway. (The post you quoted was from 2017).
Unfortunately some Sprint Corporate stores will not sell to non-customers. And franchised stores charge more or refuse to sell also.

There is more to this -please read the Wiki for the full scoop.

Try a corporate store if you want but I just wanted you to be aware it may not work out. You need to call in to sign up if you do get one that way.

To get 2nd yr, has anyone tried using xfinity mobile? I.e. port out from sprint to xfinity and port back to sprint. Xfinity doesn't charge for the sim but I believe I will have to pay taxes and regulatory fees which is about $3-4 per line. I appreciate any insight
