Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I think my first post. Thank you SD members for awesome deal guidance. I called Sprint and after the credit check, had to answer a few questions, a couple on names and addresses that I didn't know. They check public records in addition to credit. I was told I'd receive a letter in 5-7 days. That sounded like a decline, so I called again. Turns out, the public records check and answers that didn't match killed it. They had some surprisingly correct info, but some that didn't apply to me. I called again, spoke with 2 awesome reps, that fixed all of it. I will be doing some diligent credit and online scouring, to fix the issues that surfaced. If you get this reply and know your credit should pass, call again, explain the situation. I get and commend them for their diligence, but apparently they do understand that "google" may not be the most reliable source. I will update this if anything goes wrong, but as of now, I have paid for sims, they should be here in the next day or 2.
It is not google - they use a commercial identity service .

But yes the data is nevertheless full of errors and this happened to many people.

We have workarounds similar to what you did in the Wiki but congratulations on working your way around it so quickly all on your own!

for international connect, I chat with one person, and he activated it on two of my lines without asking any questions. I have 3 lines but I asked only on two, and he did it.

I can see international connect in plans and services now, but it doesn't shows 6 mons free, how can I verify that it will be free for 6 months. rep did confirmed that it will be free for 6 months.

How do you add DUN to the apn on an unlocked galaxy s9+ running Android pie? Shortcut master apparently doesn't work with pie.
A poster over at XDA Forums recommends using Nova Launcher:

https://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-galaxy-note-8/themes/hotspot-mod-root-t3676848/post76700783#... [xda-developers.com]

For those who can use Shortcut Master Lite it is available here below as an apk to sideload or you can buy the full version at $5.48 on Google Play:

https://apkpure.com/shortcut-mast...aster.lite

OR

https://shortcut-master-lite.en.u...om/android

For those who have a rooted Android phone or have the ability to root a rootable Android phone, like for example the Nexus 5 or other phones, etc., this app below can make those phones like hotspot phones since you'll be using data on the phone as if the phone is itself using the data:

https://play.google.com/store/app...r&hl=en_US

Again, the above WiFi Tether Router app requires a rooted phone, and it is a paid app, $2.99 I think.

Another way that has been discussed in detail here over the course of the past 2 years is the PDANet+ app. Search this thread for more on it.

According to the XDA Forums, Samsung phones like the S8/S8+/S9/S9+ and others are rootable to a certain extent.
Also search for "rootable samsung phones" on Google.
But attempting to root any phone requires way above average ability and in some cases nerves of steel!
Bricking a phone is not unusual!

Any recommendations on a phone for this plan? Trying to get a coworker on it, but he has a lot of debt, so I wouldn't recommend something like an iPhone.

Overall, this would end up saving him a lot of money, and he needs to get a new phone anyway. He would prefer an Android. But I guess mid-range would be ideal, and unlocked, so he doesn't HAVE to use it on Sprint.

I've heard the Moto X4 is decent. I liked the Moto G5+ personally. Any other recommendations? Ideally expandable storage/adoptable storage... I guess he could make do with 32gb, but 64gb might be more comfortable

LG G5 and G6 have been recommended

You can search the thread.

Don't forget most non-Sprint models will lack most Sprint unique features including VoLTE (although that is still rolling out) and Visual VoiceMail and in some cases WifiCalling, .

Verizon and unlocked updated dropped on the same date, March 12th.

Got mine. Wink
Yes I saw that as well. Unfortunately Verizon Note 9's still can't be activated on Sprint. And Samsung unlocked Note 9's still can't roam with Tmobile on Sprint. So we get Pie, but I'd rather be able to roam w/Tmobile on mine. And I'm sure many would want theirs to work on Sprint over getting Pie. Very lame.

Only problem is the Wifi tether router app only works if your using Super SU which is not really used or updated anymore.

I believe the HTC 10 should also work with Sprint & is a decent phone with good specs. It has a SD 820 just like the LG G5
