Wow are you sure you are entering the correct IMEI?

Does this phone have anything special in its history?

You can try it in the Swappa checker and see if it can recognize it.
I got similar:

Interestingly Sprint & Tello claim that my IMEI is not compatible with their service whereas Ting says it is. Its an off brand phone from so since Ting can do GSM is the reason their checker is positive.

I am trying to sign up with a Verizon iPhone 7 32GB and the site, as well as two different Sprint Representatives are all telling me the phone is not eligible. Is there anything that I can do?
if u dont get a solution in next few days...

suggest u get on the plan first ...see wiki on how to do that with a $65 lg g5.

once u have plan , then worry bout getting a iphone on the plan.....
all indications are..u have 1 year to do so..

Exactly correct analysis and that is why checking on both Ting and Tello is worthwhile. But his case is different because Ting rejected it completely he says.

I own probably 5-7 phones which I used for Ringplus and those all phones shows still owe to sprint so can't activate. Stupid Ringplus lol
In my life, I've prob used at least over a dozen different mobile carriers. I don't think I've spent more money anywhere else than the "free" service at Ringplus! LOL! Between all those flash plans and all the phones I bought for it, I admit, RP was more of a psychology/marketing study.

(1) Yes you have to (2) No, only by porting in a "new" number.

You can get one on EBay cheap by searching for "Number for Port"

See the Wiki for other ways to get a number to port in..

Absolutely the case with me too.

Hmm Sprint marketing should be listening!

Hi I bought a new note 9 unlocked from ebay (sm- N960U1)and try to add a line to my account but the S agent said my phone imei is not compatible with Sprint and it's locked( what's the meaning locked even though I bought an unlocked phone ). I thought this note 9 is working with Sprint( confirm ebay with seller)
In this case what am I supposed to do?

If it is definitely U1, then it is indeed the factory unlocked model.

What does this checker (which is a different one) say:

https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/br...hop:030918

What do Ting and Tello say (looking for further clues).

I suspect the actual issue is simpler. Maybe the mvno flag is on. If so, the above checks may free it up. If not, there are ways......it should turn out ok in the end after some further steps.

Looks like the T mobile Digital SIM card can not be reused. I get the below error when I check the T mobile SIM status after the first number is ported out from T mobile to Sprint.
"Sorry, that SIM can't be used on our network."

Is it that some SIM's are not re-usable or is there a trick around it. Will probably wait until tomorrow and buy a second digital sim if it still does not work.

Same here, i'm still waiting since one hour ago. Last week I did it instantly for my friends.
I had issue as well today at the address section. Even though I was giving correct address, it was saying incorrect address and was not letting me create a T mobile account to port in. Had to do it over phone with a representative.

I believe some are not reusable. I had to purchase a second one for my second line.
