Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

All S8 are eligible ONCE UNLOCKED and after MVNO flag adjusted if need be.. The others are not eligible.

For the S8, ALL UPDATES MUST BE ON. Use Samsung Smart Switch to check.
Then check on Ting and Tello checkers which may free it up for Sprint also and post exact results.

Then try
https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/br...hop:030918 [sprint.com]

and post full results.
Thanks for the response.
I checked Ting, Tello and Sprint device checkers, and while Ting says its compatible, Tello says Incompatible and Sprint says cannot be activated online, and suggests to call.

It has all the latest updates with Xfinity SIM in. should i flash Sprint firmware on it? Will that make any difference?

And regarding "MVNO flag adjusted if need be", can you please share more info or some link to help?

Flashing will not help.

From those results, the MVNO flag is not the issue.

From those results, I would say it is still locked to something. Or maybe it is a foreign model. What is the full model number shown in Settings?

Put in a sim from another carrier and does it say "invalid sim?"

If so, it is probably still locked to something, even though you believed it was not.

Or the latest updates may not be on.

Search on "Unlock" in settings. Does it say "Unlocked for any sim"?

I have to go soon but others may be able to help.

The phone was originally bought from Cricket wireless and then unlocked.

for the last 1 year or so, its been on Xfinity mobile, sometimes on att and Tmobile. So I know its definitely unlocked.

upon pressing the sprint support on chat as they claimed it was compatible earlier, they are saying they are escalating it to their next level support. It appears to be compatible, as when I enter a diff IMEI, it says not compatible at all vs for the S8, it says cannot be activated online.

Ok, so my last purchase of iPhone XS Max fell through (seller stopped responding), and today I am in touch with another re-seller and hoping for better luck Smilie

I have run the iPhone GSX report as suggested earlier. Phone is unlocked, and I checked on sprint checker, Verizon checker, & Ting (somehow ATT & T-Mo dont let me check, may be I am looking in the wrong place), and I get the message that it will work. I am meeting the seller at Apple store.

Couple questions:

1. Is there anything I can ask the apple rep to check? And will they do it, considering they are generally very busy, and it takes a long time without appointment.

2. Wiki says for services like swapping in phones etc, CALL ACCOUNT SERVICES 844 665 6327. Or use chat, where a chatbot efficiently swaps devices, with no error-prone humans involved. Can I do this while I am with the seller? How much time it takes? Can I use sprint app to reach chatbot to swap the device?

3. I will like to port in a number from xfinity before the upcoming end date. I have read that PIN for xfinity is 0000, and I need to call in to get the account number. Is this correct?

4. Finally, I will be able to use my current phone (after swapping with XS) to port in the xfinity line anytime after the swap (once I have xfinity account number), correct?

Thanks for everyone's help.

Online port has been problematic recently and frequently never completes. It's usually instant.

Looks like they blocked the port in from online. I did not receive any email or card was not charged.

What are people using for Hotspot since it's now removed? I see in the wiki it mentions PdaNet w/foxfi but that isn't working for my pixel 3. Anyone else have success?

Create an online account on Tmobile. It only requires Ph# and PIN. Once you are logged in, you can get your account#. Good luck
I tried. In order to create an account, a verification code sent to my main number is needed. No physical Sim, no code :-(

Fortunately, T-Mobile does offer existing customers replacement SIMs via mail. I'm assuming the retail stores probably charge for them (I've personally never tried asking for one as an existing customer). You'd probably want to make up some excuse for "losing" the SIM card (kid was playing with the phone and lost the SIM, etc.), because T-Mobile is probably going to be less than helpful if you tell them you activated service on a non-existent SIM card.

https://support.t-mobile.com/docs...8#heading2
I stopped TM corporate store and they asked $27 for SIM replacement. I thought they were kidding but the salesman was dead serious.
