Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I had an issue with a Cricket iPhone. It was unlocked through them and through ATT and the model number was supposed to be for use with all carriers(not just ATT bands) but I could never get it to work. Neither could the Apple Store. Cricket does weird stuff to their phones.

What was the model, we most likely could have pointed you and Apple in the right direction.

Sure, as long as you're only swapping in your own phone. See wiki post's note 6.

Is it running byod software(reconfigures to carrier apps to match the carrier SIM card inserted).
Latest should be something like G950USQS5CSB1
People have reported on s8/9 cricket deals that not all the devices were whitelisted by Sprint.

Ok, so my last purchase of iPhone XS Max fell through (seller stopped responding), and today I am in touch with another re-seller and hoping for better luck Smilie

I have run the iPhone GSX report as suggested earlier. Phone is unlocked, and I checked on sprint checker, Verizon checker, & Ting (somehow ATT & T-Mo dont let me check, may be I am looking in the wrong place), and I get the message that it will work. I am meeting the seller at Apple store.

Couple questions:

1. Is there anything I can ask the apple rep to check? And will they do it, considering they are generally very busy, and it takes a long time without appointment.

2. Wiki says for services like swapping in phones etc, CALL ACCOUNT SERVICES 844 665 6327. Or use chat, where a chatbot efficiently swaps devices, with no error-prone humans involved. Can I do this while I am with the seller? How much time it takes? Can I use sprint app to reach chatbot to swap the device?

3. I will like to port in a number from xfinity before the upcoming end date. I have read that PIN for xfinity is 0000, and I need to call in to get the account number. Is this correct?

4. Finally, I will be able to use my current phone (after swapping with XS) to port in the xfinity line anytime after the swap (once I have xfinity account number), correct?

Thanks for everyone's help.
I just ported from xfinity to sprint couple of days ago. Yes, you need to call xfinity to get account number. The porting process only took me about 5 minutes. But I need to log into my sprint account and click a button to complete porting.

Thanks for the write up, As I know, the Prepaid TMOBILE account number is not always phone number for porting uses, it can be 1 plus phone number or random number given to you. Correct me if I am wrong.
Perhaps it varied at one point, but according to this link the Tmobile prepaid account number will be your phone number.
https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-1851

Can confirm that is what it was for the digital sim lines I ported to.

I had better luck with chat. Many times I logged on to my sprint account on my phone to get chat (I usually don't get chat pop up on my laptop).

I had wasted countless hours on phone with South east asian call center and they literally know very little - including their supervisors. If chat person redirects you to use toll free number for support - then plead with the chat person to get escalated support through chat only - literally plead and show desperation while being polite - It has worked wonders for me Smilie

I have so far used 3 unlocked phones on sprint and each time phone support couldn't help me and the escalated chat fixed the issue in no time. Good luck

Yes. I flashed it with latest version of Xfinity firmware about a year ago and it does switch carrier branding when I pop in a SIM. Have tested it to work with ATT, Xfinity and Tmobile.

I guess its some stupid database somewhere. I am pretty sure the device itself should be 100% compatible with Sprint's network, but their weird process of having to pass thru their stupid program before they can activate is blocking me here Frown

Will see if I really need this service. Was hoping to port out the Xfinity line before I cancel their services, but I am not very sure I really need the second line.
My primary line has a CRU ATT plan which gives me unlimited data, but 4c/min daytime calling unless I call other att mobile lines. So was hoping to use this for calling, especially for long phone meetings.

Just switched from Straight Talk..... Took about 30 minutes.

Go to My Account Summary, then Add Nickname to find out your Account Number.

Go to Update Personal Profile to find your pin.

Those were the sticking points in my journey. Thanks for the help y'all!

I also had an unlocked cricket phone with the same problem. The imei was not on sprint's database and the solution was to get someone on sprint with the knowledge and ability to add it. After a week of bad info, I was successful using the sprint community forum. Look at this for more info: https://community.sprint.com/t5/P...913#M13790
