Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Just curious if anyone else is experiencing this, but I signed up and ported in my first line about 2 weeks ago and on my plan it currently says the promo ends 1/31/20 for me. Does that sound right?

$5/line/mo up to 5 lines. (up to $60/line value free with AutoPay until 1/31/20)
No - should be a few months later than that (4/30/20 now, and before that 3/31/20 as I recall) but are you probably looking at the wrong place or out of date info or you did not get a new account...

Where exactly are you looking (in phone, online in your account, at an email?)

Did you have an older account before?

Well it is an error then UNLESS it is someone else's SSN - they may have had another account and it is going by those dates. (Or somebody used your SSN). That should be fixable if so by sorting out the SSN issues.

Otherwise, if there are no SSN mixup issues, you will have to call to start with, and if they stall, post back here, do not let it drag on.

True that. but when you can win the argument, let it happen and then take it off later. After reading ton of posts here, I have decided not to fight it. I just said sure... and then after the online set, too 2 mins to take that feature off.
LOL. This is similar to when they ask to see your receipt upon exiting Walmart. Sure. You can argue with them about how you feel your rights are being violated and cause a big fuss to the point where the police are called OR you can just show your receipt and enjoy the rest of your day.

Went ahead and locked in my 3rd year about 5 months early. This has been a great deal, a massive thank you to everyone who has been responding to the same questions over and over and updating the wiki along the way. Probably have saved $3500 from this post.

FYI, just to contribute a little bit... for this port I used the Tmobile digital SIM. Went ahead and bought 5 of them off Ebay for $3.50 each even though I could have potentially reused them. Had 5 lines and followed the process here (side note, initially tried to do it online following the wiki and had constant issues with the Tmobile web site, never could get it to go all the way through before hanging). After requesting the port, 3 of the lines ported immediately and 2 had issues. Went ahead and called Sprint and set up the 3 ported lines, then called Tmobile back to work on the remaining ones.

Tmobile does have a port troubleshooting line at 877-789-3106 but they are limited in diagnosing prepay port issues so will usually just transfer you back to the prepay department. At this point Tmobile said one of the lines had a data entry error and the other was showing as not requested for porting, so went through it all again to do another port request. This time one of them ported immediately and the other still didn't, so went through it a 3rd time to correct a problem on the account #. Lesson learned, have them read back all of the numbers you give them because there will be errors.

Each time you call just be sure to have everything laid out in front of you:
  • Phone Model
  • IMEI
  • Phone #
  • New TMobile SIM #
  • Sprint Account #
  • Sprint Pin
  • Tmobile Pin you will set
The Tmobile account number for prepay will always be the phone number (no 1 in front of it), so you don't need to set up a Tmobile login or spend more than a few minutes at Tmobile before porting right back. The Sprint web site will also almost immediately update once the port is successful, so it's easy to check when a line leaves your account (or gets stuck and needs a call back).

Just to note, the Net10 sim mentioned in the wiki isn't listed as an alternative to TMo, but as an alternative option to temporarily port out a phone number.
Sorry, but I'm not clear on the distinction between the two. Isn't an alternative to T-Mobile the same thing as an alternative option to temporarily port out your number? I'm about to temporarily port my # out of Sprint and to me, it seems there's 3 options to do this:
T-Mobile
Net10
H20

It sounds like the T-Mobile route has not been as smooth as of late. Why aren't more people going the route of Net10 instead of T-Mobile? Does it require staying on longer than 1 day?

Done porting 2 numbers - both over the phone and with no issues in either case...Sprint to TMO I was able to re-use my eSIM however after 2nd port, the esim seems to be no longer valid - not sure what happened. Seems like, now I need to buy another TMO sim for my 3rd line.

I believe he means the Net10 sim is not an alternative way to port out to T-Mobile, it will port out to Net10.

So when porting back to Sprint all of the details about porting from T-Mobile will not apply.

Hi All,
Last year I signed up for this deal and my current 'free' plan runs thru end of April. Since this deal is expected to go away soon, I am planning to port out and port back in using my spouse's ssn. Is this feasible ? If yes, Can you please let me know which other carrier is the cheapest and easiest for the temporary port out ?

There was discussion about t-mobile-compatible sims (literally using one of their MVNOs' branded sim cards) to do a t-mobile port. He was clarifying that.

Thanks for the write up, As I know, the Prepaid TMOBILE account number is not always phone number for porting uses, it can be 1 plus phone number or random number given to you. Correct me if I am wrong.

Has this deal ever been allowed to expire since it started or have they just rolled the date the entire time?

If it truly does end, does anyone know if you will still be able to add lines so long as you get one active before the cutoff if they actually end the deal?

AFAIK, it has been generously extended concurrently since the beginning.

As mentioned at the top of the wiki post, no one is able to confirm or deny anything about the end nor after. As suggested, it's safe to do whatever needs to be done prior.
