Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Make sure after swap, they don't automatically add device protection plan. Happened to me once, but chat was able to remove service and reverse charges fortunately...

You didn't list your phone model so it's hard to help you out but first, I suggest reading the wiki for instructions on how to activate your phone.
Fi LG G7 I cancelled Fi service and the IMEI checks out fine on Sprint checker.

Like Desi said, it has been mentioned many times, but that doesn't mean they make it easy! I asked the first rep and they insisted that there is not an account number associated with prepaid accounts, and that there wasn't a way to associate them to a personal email address. They were nice about it and we decided that I would just speak to someone else after we were done with the ports. They transferred me and then hung up. I called right back, and using my account PIN (and my story about getting hung up on) I was able to get another rep to tell me that the account number was 1+, but even then she could've just been saying that off of previous knowledge and not actually from checking for me. Luckily, across two phone calls and 4 lines, it did end up being true, because my ports-in were accepted by sprint with the 1+ account numbers. So far, for ~10-15 lines across a couple of years, it has always been 1+number for me. Which is interesting because you would figure that given a lot of duplicate phone numbers (across multiple iterations of the same process) that they wouldn't be able to create an account with an account number that has been used before.

Went to Apple store to get SIM for XS Max. They gave me a SIM ending in 416TQ. Wiki link for SIM shows it should be 516TQ. I told the rep that I checked online, and it should be 516TQ, but rep was adamant that this is the only one they have, and this is what they use for Sprint phones.

So, can I use this 416TQ sim in XS max as per apple rep or apple rep was just wrong and I need to get 516 one from some other place?

Had same issue even after porting. Updated prl and device config in network-mobile network-carrier settings. Restarted device and it then worked fine for me.
Thanks .. Prl update said nothing to update and Device config update has been going on for over an hour .. does it take this long normally or is it not doing anything. Actually yesterday when I inserted the Sprint sim into my LG G7 it popped up a notification from Sprint DM and it was doing something but now I don't see it whether it successfully competed. I would think it was doing the same update and is automatically done shouldn't it ?

3 times ? This promotion has been around for two years only give or take a few months I believe. Did you port out prematurely ? Just curious

Sorry, I didn't mean to brag or overstate (especially given some of my dumb questions in this thread) --
3 times, 5 lines each time. I said 10-15 because I'm sure some of them didn't originate with tmo

For me
  1. 2017 originally, then
  2. 2018 probably a little premature in order to avoid service lapse, then
  3. 2019 just now, definitely premature, due to supposed end

..i dont remember all circumstances, but yes...it must have been the same as now...plan will end on such n such date...so port out and back in...i was ~8 months or so decided to do that for another year...details are fuzzy.....but now i think i am set to end on 1/30/2020...i dont think i will port out and back for another 4 extra months if this does end on 4/4

edit :
then there was the crazy iphone deal from metro....so i ported out my line from S...and ported right back in ...in a few days....but lost hot spots..but was well worth it.....easy $650 made....got the significant other a ip xs for ~$100

thats not how i took it.

i ment..that this deal by now means is hard to get and infact is quite easy.

provided u have understood the process and know where the pitfalls can be and how to avoid them.

it irks me when folks dont prepare and then come here simply to vent that S sucks this that and the other

It is 516TQ (the one Sprint stocks for BYOD use) or 416TQ (the one Apple uses in manufacturing which is fine also).

BOTH are listed at
https://s4gru.com/forums/topic/78...ity-chart/

Pan across the chart.

Either will work fine.
