Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

That is discussed in the Wiki as well as it can be.

What's the safest and fastest way to save a number and port out to? I read a couple comments here and there, H2O for example.
I've read that H2O's porting policy is the number has to be active for at least 5 days before they will port out (see this Howard Forums post [howardforums.com]). If that's still true, you can just make it back to Sprint by 4/4 if you move quickly.

I appreciate all the great info and helpful people here! I'm at the end of my first year and in the process of getting a second year under my wife's SSN.

Just wanted to confirm and WARN others that in my experience, the Tmobile e-SIM process and online port process has been a hassle. I recommend to use a PHYSICAL SIM and to CALL the Tmobile port dept.

Yesterday, I used the tmobile online porting webpage and eSIM from ebay, both as mentioned in the wiki. Got a confirmation and account number and everything looked fine.

Today, no change, so I called tmobile. The CS Rep told me that their online port system doesn't work, so I did the port request with her (using the eSIM) and it went through immediately. However, I asked many times and in many different ways about what my account number was, and she said that I would get a text when the port was complete and could set up my account then. She told me there was no account number she could give me. I was persistent, but she seemed to genuinely have no info on my account number.

I understood from discussions here that the Tmobile prepaid account number should just be my 10 digit phone number (not 1+number), so I figured I'd just use that.

I called the Sprint promo number, went through all the set up and SSN stuff, and everything went just as I expected, just like the first year, except that my number didn't port in immediately. I'm now waiting, hoping that it will go through within the default 24hrs they say. But after doing more research, I understand that new Tmobile prepaid accounts are often, though not always, assigned random account numbers, and are no longer just the phone number.

If my number does not port from Tmo to Sprint (cuz I gave the wrong phone number/account number), I guess I'll have to call tmo and try to get them to assign and then provide me with my account number. I can't actually set up the account through the text message, since I don't get tmobile texts, the SIM is just digital, no a card I can put into my phone.

Does anyone have any other ideas? (And thanks for reading this far!)

Tmobile shut down online port in.
Your option is to get a real sim, and tell them you lost your sim, and change to real sim to
get a verification text or whatever.

See if this works:

Create an online account on Tmobile. It only requires Ph# and PIN. Once you are logged in, you can get your account#. Good luck
If so, you are home free.

thanks for the advice, I'll see what works and report back.

EDIT: unable to create online account at tmobile, as it didn't find anything associated with my number. Will try the get-real-SIM-and-swap method next.

I concur with this post here; I just went through the whole same painful process and not realized that the online port into Tmobile doesn't work anymore. I did the same thing with the Tmobile agent and it was fine. I again called the Sprint sale number and looks like everything went through as I now have service but I can't register for the online account yet because it says that my phone number was cancelled (from old account i guess). But i do get service now

I had a very similar situation this morning. I couldn't get the Tmobile account number from the rep. She told me the account had to be set up first and she would call me afterwards to give me the act #. She did call but had to send a verification text to my phone. Unfortuantely, with the digital sim I couldn't receive it.

But people reported that if you were charged the $3 fee, your account number would be your 1+phone number. Based on that I called sprint and used my 1+phone number and it worked. If tmobile didn't charge you, you should call sprint back and let them know you forgot the "1" in front of your tmobile act. number.

It's confusing because not all that info is in the wiki and there is conflicting info in the thread.

There is a special URL you need to use to set up the new account web access online in that case.

Here it is:

what t-mobile account format do you use? 1+phone number or just phone number or other?

If you paid $3, it is the "random " number string.

If you did not pay, it is 1+phone number.

Ok, it took a few hours, but my number did eventually port from Tmo, and my Sprint service is working. So a couple of interesting observations here:

1) I never set up my tmobile account, and never gave them any creditcard info, so I never actually paid them the $3 for the pay as you go plan.

2) I gave Sprint my Tmo account as just my 10-digit phone number, (not 1+number). That worked, even though others here [e.g. OldnCheap above] in my same situation used 1+their number. So i guess both work?

3) I am not able to set up MySprint online account. The email with the link and just going to the website both just hang. No message as to why, and I've tried using my phone number and my phone serial number. I guess this is similar to RichPocket above also.

Need to figure out the My Sprint account thing now. Will try to Chat as comintel suggests. Thanks and reps guys!

I found the url to set up the new account.

It is https://mysprint.sprint.com/myspr...n:Register
