Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Just flipped to 2nd yr free following the steps on wikie. I used T-Mobile pay as u go. All done online with a physical sims that I got from Apple free. I had to port out line by line or it won't let me retain my number. It cost me about $5 per line and each line was transferred in less than 5 minutes. Each line has a different account number and it is not 1 plus phone number. Once I tested all numbers are eligible on sprint, my wife called to port back to sprint. They guy added sprint complete insurance from which I removed via chat. I couldn't see any way to remove it myself on the app. The rep supposed to have set up autopay but when I double checked it next day it wasn't set up, so i had it set up via chat.
Sprint service is ok, the network is very slow when it comes to sending mms with photo using iMessages. I use WhatsApp instead. But hey it's almost free and it allows me to roam free internationally. It's not the best but it is the best value. Thanks for those that have contributed valuable information to help others to save money...that's what a community is about.

Hey guys, I have a device that I'm not using right now.

Here is my situation:
Account A, under wife name has:
Iphone 6s(paid off) my nr A
Iphone x (not paid) wife nr B

I have a paid off lg, and was thinking to sign up and then port old nr to this account, and then sign up my wife under my paid iphone(then later, switch phones from the iphone 6s to iphone x)

Keep the wife's account open so she keeps paying off her iphone, but have both our nrs transfered to new account(my account)

Possible or not ? And how to go about it?
Can anyone reply ? Or simply you have no clue if this is possible or not?

My Sprint free plan was set to expire in end of July so decided to heed the warnings about the plan's end in April. This was my third time switching into this Sprint plan.
The phone rep was extremely helpful, even after I gave out the wrong IMEI number. The rep switched me to a customer care rep who even more helpful. Stayed on the phone about 45 minutes longer to make sure all my lines ported back into Sprint. Even after saying that it was my fault in giving wrong IMEI number, the rep was super nice and polite. Another big hiccup; a SIM card that was in that phone about 3 days ago on the previous free Sprint plan would no longer work; kept showing "SIM Card Locked" on phone. Luckily I had another old SIM card and that finally resolved the problem. Will miss the hotspot but worth it to get additional 9 months of low cost Sprint service.

Seriously, this deal has to be one of the best out there. I will end up with 2.5+ years of unlimited sprint service for $20 per month for 4 lines!

Tmobile digital-sim porting submitted online on Mar. 27 evening. Cancelled by Tmobile on Mar 29.

Called to port in Tmobile with digital-sim on 3/30. It went through. Got account#, PIN.

Called sprint to port back. It took totally about 1hr. Now back with another year free BYOD plan.

Talked to rep and major issue with Sprint for me is Google Voice does not work on Sprint. Yes i ported the GV # successfully but was told that you can't use GV to work on sprint anymore.

What other apps or How do you use GV to make affordable international call on sprint?

But today when I went out, I am not even getting 1Mbps and some time no internet at all
What's the usual expected speeds for Sprint
Any APN settings needs to be updated for iPhone ?
For iPhone, It may not help but I always reset subscribers settings call ##25327# and service update call ##873283#.
Also make sure there is no LTE apn profile from previous carrier if there is delete it
Check for an old LTE APN profile , a Profile named "LTE APN". (Settings>General>Profiles - Right below "VPN". There may not be "Profile" on the Menu, depending on the carrier used before.).

I just did the T-Mobile maneuver. Ported out of sprint to t-mo. T-Mo charged $23+tax. Then ported out of T-Mo to Sprint on a different SSN. Will do the same for other line later today

Ok.

John has a paid off iphone 6 that is being used and jennifer has iphone x that she is still paying and is also being used by Jennifer. The phones are attached to the account that is owned and maintained by Jennifer.

That's two phones under Jennifers account, iphone 6 paid off, iphone x not paid.
John has a second phone,lg v20, also paid off, but has no sim card currently - i.e. not being used.

Scenario:John opens an account under his name, uses lg v20 and get's a phone nr from sprint, then he transfers his old nr from Jennifers account which is being used by the iphone 6. Possible ? Yes?
Great

Move on

John no longer has his old iphone 6 under Jennifer's account because he transfered the number and removed the iphone 6 from the account. Jennifer has only her iphone x under her account right now.

Can John add another line under his new account by using iphone 6(paid off), get a new number, then transfer Jennifers old number to the new account using iphone 6 ?

Later, swap iphone 6 with the iphone x under John's account ?

Result,
Both numbers are transfered from Jennifers account to John's account.

Jennifer keeps her account open and keeps paying the iphone x without any line attached to the account.

Hey can you please give some more details?
What do you mean it doesn't work, what doesn't work. Port is kind of the only thing someone would want to do as far as I know.
I ported a GV number to sprint last year and the port worked fine, curious to know what changed.

Porting works but i was told that you can't use GV on sprint and for me it's a major show stopper as i use GV for international call. Wonder if someone has figured out a work around that or was i misinformed?

Had nightmare experience with T-mobile port-in with digital SIM. Out of frustration, I paid a visit to local Tmobile corporate store. the experience was smooth and quick. Here are steps 1) locate Tmobile corporate store 2) ask to port in pay as you go plan from sprint 3) SIM activation kit is $25. But, port-in to Tmobile gives $15 discount 3) Tmobile employee will activate and port-in Sprint number on the spot. It took less than 1 min to port my each line. Note, Tmobile can port-in 1 line a time. Make sure each line has its own unique email. 4) ask employee to write down TMB account. Tmobile also sent welcome email with account info.

In the end of day, it costed me $7 more per line tha. Digital sim. But, more reliable.
When you ported in store, were you trying to port with the same number that you initially used with the digital SIM?

So my friend was by yesterday with his old Boost Mobile Samsung J7 Perx phone that he wanted me to factory reset for his 7 yo daughter to use over Wi-Fi only.

Well anyways out of curiosity I tried the IMEI on the free checker site & it said it was eligible. I thought most prepaid and or Boost Mobile phones weren't eligible? If I were to call in would they actually activate this then on the 1yr free plan?

If this is truly the case maybe I'll see if I can pick up one locally for cheap? I suppose for the price tho there is probably still better options tho as this phone has kinda weak specs 2gb RAM, 16 GB Rom although it does have a 5.5 screen.
