if you claim to be your relative that's potentially a serious crime.
It might be. Almost as bad a crime as all the Sprint TV commercials having my relative believing they were an upstanding company. The very same relative that was on the phone with me, giving over his/her SSN.

Thanks for your insight and well-placed concern. Now call your Congressperson to report me. Or the FBI. Take your pick.

I'm barricading my doors...

Has anyone manage to put the sim in a hotspot and just use it for internet ?
You cannot do that.

See the Wiki for why it can never work.

nobody's blaming the cell phone. I'm pretty old and not in a cult so I don't know what "virtue signal" means.

On the subject of not having anything to do with this deal..what do your essays on Verizon, your boss, etc, have to do with it ?

Look it up. Learn it so you can stop doing it. It's annoying to anyone with at least a room temperature IQ who can see through the BS.

From what I have been told, the agents with the "new system" require funding and you will get an account number unrelated to your phone number. If you can get someone with the old system, it will allow the port without funding and the account number is 1+ number.
So this is the solution!

Keep calling until you get an agent with the old system!

Tell them you would like an account with your phone number in the account number because it is easy to remember!

At the top of the thread under Eligible Devices, it lists "moto G7 Reo." What is Reo? I searched, can't find it anywhere. I'm interested in using the Moto G7 Power with this deal.

I did through the phone for one of my lines.. I called and when the agent asked for payment I said that I will call back.. then I called again spoke to another agent and said that I didn't get an account number. Then he just gave me the account number (It was not the 1+tel number account).

Later for the other lines I just did it online paying $3 each time (for convenience).

If you can log onto your account you can Chat to correct it.
They might still want text but maybe worth a try if you have not.
Can't login as my sprint needs text to verify account before registration can be completed.

It is eligible even if not listed as long as the version you buy lists Sprint compatibility.

See https://s4gru.com/forums/topic/78...ity-chart/
which shows it takes sim 516TQ or 416TQ for BYOD.

Check the imei in the checker just to double check.

vir·tue sig·nal·ing
noun
noun: virtue signalling; noun: virtue signaling
the action or practice of publicly expressing opinions or sentiments intended to demonstrate one's good character or the moral correctness of one's position on a particular issue.

There's no need to denigrate any network or the people that use it.

Let's leave it at that and get back on topic. Please

So that is another workaround that you came up with!

I guess another variant of that would be call and say you wanted to add additional funds!

What problems are you having?
Hi comintel, thank you for the prompt reply. The issue I had stemmed from converging two lines from two accounts (AT&T and T-Mo) into a new free year w/ Sprint. The primary line (A) ported and provisioned properly, the second line (T) did not. I lost the call with the original call agent before everything could be checked/ completed.

It turned out that the sim cards were good and the phones ok (Moto x4-464's), but the second phone failed on internal provisioning. When I finally got into tech support, the agent had me restart the phone, re-seat the sim, etc. and then had me use code *#*#72786#*#* (call) to force a reset of all network options to their original defaults and restart the phone. The phone then downloaded the network update and provisioned properly. I verified the connections, signal strength, etc. using *#*#INFO#*#* /Phone Information and all was well with the world again. Thank you for being available during my unpleasant moment of panic.

Anyone ran into issues where data seems to be working, it's not super fast but it works, but there is no reception bar at all, and phone calls doesn't work?

They were saying that my sim card was defective, but the same thing happened again on the second sim card and they're completely clueless now
Read ting help link in wiki under FAQ#8 and please post phone model you have. Sim cards rarely are bad. Possibly just needs carrier settings updated.
