I got this message after activation on line just now:

Congratulations!
You're saving more than $900 in the first year on a single line over Verizon's unlimited rates, and you get
FREE Unlimited data, talk and text until 9/30/19
Upgrade your phone any time after 4 months

How come it says only good until 9/30/2019? I thought it would be good for one year until 4/30/2020!
That's what I was promised when I order the SIM card in March.
Using the my sprint app you can view your end date. Unless you added to an existing account the date should be 4/30/20

"Note 3: for services like swapping in phones etc, CALL ACCOUNT SERVICES 844 665 6327. Or use chat, where a chatbot efficiently swaps devices, with no error-prone humans involved." Does this apply to sim as well? I've lost the SIM card in one of the line. What do I need to activate a new SIM card on the same phone and same line?
Best way is through chat. Should not be a problem

In the Wiki it says that you can add additional lines to the plan as long as the promotion is in effect. Is that correct? So if the plan ends and I only have one line on the plan, I won't be able to add anymore? Has anyone verified this?
Like all common Q's the answer is in the wiki.

Thanks. 8 digit account number they read to me worked. Was able to open a new S account using spouse and ported in without a hitch. Now I'm debating whether to try reusing the TMo sim for more lines or order a fresh SIM. I may be old school but I like having the physical sim to receive the port success text, call 611, confirm PIN code, etc.
Lately i have not heard of anyone being able to reuse a tmo sim. You'll likely need a new one.

For those who's having issue porting from sprint to tmobile prepaid. If it doesn't happen within 24hours then it most likely struck. Go chat with tmobile Facebook force team. They will say everything is good please wait 48hrs. After 48hr message tmobile Facebook again. This time they will ask for your sprint account and pin and do a deep investigation. Then they will manually approve the port. They told me it's a rare system issue where tmobile didn't auto approve the port process. I don't believe it is rare as I see many of us having same issue. Hope this help.
Thanks for the info. My port to t-mobile is nearing 24hrs with nothing having happened. Although I have a t-mobile account number and pin written down from when I initiated the port, the phone is still working on Google fi. So that means no port occurred. Phone fails Sprint EMEI test.

Given tomorrow is April 4, not sure I have the time to wait or mess around with t-mobile on calls. So maybe this will not happen. Bites that t-mobile seems to have dropped the ball on ports for SDrs the past week or so. Frown

(Anyone recommend an alternative to unreliable t-mobile port that can be done in one day, preferably without me sitting on phone calls with csrs since I have a job and no time for hours on the phone, lol)

Just got off the phone porting my last line over. The Sprint rep indicated that 4/4 is the last day for a new account, but that I could continue to add lines to an existing account after 4/4. This was unsolicited as we were making small talk about the Sprint T-Mobile merger and the roll-out of 5G. He seemed well informed. Just another data point.

Based on my experience, if the PIN they asked is 4 digits, which means they are in the new systems, even though you didn't add fund, the account number will not be 1+ phone number, and you need to find out online. If they use new system to activate your number, the sim card will not be re-usable.

If the PIN they asked was at least 6 digits, they are in the old system, so the account number is 1 + phone number, and you don't need to add funds. If they activate using old system, your sim card will be good to use later.

So old system will be perfect...though it's hard to tell how to get to the old system...

I believe a trip to Tmobile store will be the easiest way.

Just go on Facebook, search for tmobile and message them. They will rely within 30mins. You don't need to be on the phone.

I think Tmobile is still the easiest way though.

**NO PERSONAL HOTSPOT**

I did confirm with Sprint that the free unlimited plan DOES NOT allow for a Personal Hotspot on your phone. Unfortunately this is a deal killer for anyone who needs to tether off their phone from time to time.

They will allow an Apple Watch, but there is a $10 / month fee to add the watch.

They also did confirm there is not current set end date. I would suspect once they hit their quota, then it ends.

My 1 year free ends on 4/30/19. Just see now that the promotion will end tomorrow and some issues with T-Mobile. What is the best way for me now? Is the best idea now is to go to T-Mobile store and get port out on prepaid?

In my case it was different than my phone number. I know other's have had different experiences and ended up with the acct # as Ph # or 1+Ph #.

Has anyone traded in one of their iPhone on this plan and swapped in a new one? Does the phone get removed as soon as it's traded in? I should have time to come back home and add in the new phone right? also even if it ends on 4/4/19, I should be allowed to swap/add devices right? /overthinking
