I think you made a wise choice because my phone is in t-mobile port limbo. I guess I could try porting to some other carrier from google fi, since my phone is still on google fi due to the t-mobile port failure. But not sure I have the time to screw with this all evening and tomorrow with the deadline tomorrow anyway.
and when this happens it's brain splitting insane, not worth saving the few bucks. on the wiki says if you are porting from Fi you have to follow some steps since Fi uses the sprint network.

You are kidding right?
3 SIMs are the 3 sizes.in which the SIM cards come. What is the the 4th item ?
Not aware if there is another size for SIM cards

Maybe we had the same one!
I ported two numbers yesterday. Mine from H2O, wife's from Mint.
I had all the account numbers and pins when placing the call, including two Sprint sim cards picked up from Apple Store.
She was great, did everything under half an hour.
Mint number went live first, H2O after about an hour, but no issues reported from H2O side.
To update wiki - zip code 60090, download 20+ Mbps, but right now in Chicago 60624 - 9 down / 2 up.

Thanks everyone, this is a great deal!
glad to meet someone from the chicagoland area, west burbs here!

Don't give up too quickly. I think you can still get on. The offer will not be extended in my opinion.

Here are two ways.

(1) Try calling the credit department directly at the number ending in 6116 and ask them to suspend the old accounts so that you can sign up for a new plan that is for new customers only. Theoretically they might still apply the 45 day rule but say you need to take care of this or whatever. After they do that and the call ends, call the signup number and you will be able to create a new account now.

OR
(2) Go to a corporate store with lots of ID and set up a new account without a plan. This is a standard procedure for people who have trouble proving ID. They can do this without waiting the full 45 days with manager approval. Get the new account number. Then go home and call and give the account number and they will create the plan.in the still-empty account.. This is all standard procedure.

Thanks for the helpful suggestions. I know this sounds a bit silly but I just took it as a sign that it's just not meant to be. While the deal certainly was helpful to me and saved me much needed money, in the whole scheme of things, there's much worse things that could happen and it's really a first world problem. The way I look at it is that I'm thankful that I did have the 1 year free and if some miracle happens that the promo gets extented, I will try again. If not, I will just move forward. It's just a slight blip or speedbump.

Ported out on 3/14. So obviously less than 45 days. I called Sprint on Friday as previously mentioned asking if there's any way I can get back on eventhough it's been less than 45 days. The rep was great and tried many different ways to try and get me back on but it did not work. So I called back today and got an incredible rep where I once again explained the situation saying that I wanted to get back on because I heard tomorrow is the last day for signups. She said she has not heard about that and that the promo should last awhile. Anyway, she was great and told me after talking to her supervisor that I can get back on and that they will just have to just open a new account for me. So she conferenced in "Pam" from the Credit Dept. Pam refused to open up a new account saying that the Free 1 Year promo is only 1 year once per customer. That "If Sprint offered this promo multiple times to each person, they would be out of business.". Then the rep cut in and said but her supervisor said it was o.k. to sign me back on and just needed a new credit account. Pam from Credit then said "But did she know I was already a customer of the 1 Year Free" (insinuating I was being shady). and the rep said yes that it was no problem signing me up again. Pam from Credit Department said anyone that was already a previous customer "That's a big No!", "1 Year Free once per customer". I know the information wasn't correct but I didn't want to put the rep in an awkward position because she was so kind and helpful so I just ended the conference call by thanking Pam and thanking the nice Sprint rep for her help and really trying. We both said that we knew what the credit dept said was wrong and laughed when I said she was probably just having a bad day. Anyway, if somehow the offer gets extended, I'll try again after 45 days. At this point, I just look at it as what's meant to be is meant to be. No biggie.

Did u add funds?

For the 4 digits PIN, you can set up the online account by using a new email address, and verify the account by code sent to email and the PIN you set up.

But for the 6 digits PIN without fund, not able to set up the online account without message, but the account number is 1 + phone number.

Just my experience. Not sure whether it's truth or not.

I transferred 4numbers through Tmobile. Two numbers were asked for 6 digits PIN, then the account numbers were 1 + phone number. I didn't add funds. Two numbers were asked for 4 digits PIN, but the account numbers were something else. I added funds for one number, and nothing for the other one.

Hope it helps.
No I did not add funds but I used the sim kit with activation code. Not sure if that is equivalent of adding funds or not

Successful ONLINE port from Sprint to T-mobile (physical SIM) within minutes. Signed back up over phone w/ spouse's SSN about 30 minutes later.

So the ONLINE T-mobile port works well (with the $3 PayGo plan)
that $3 was spent wisely my friend, no crazy headaches, numbers in porting limbo. since time is running out i would suggest to people still wanting the t-mobile method to just pay the $3 and have everything ported quick and enjoy your day!.

I had a great rep today who was able to complete the entire process, including the credit check, in 20 minutes. She was efficient and knew everything about the plan.

Anyway, I did ask the rep about the expiration date for new accounts and adding more lines to existing accounts. She acknowledged that tomorrow 4/4/ is currently the last day to sign up new accounts with this plan. As far as adding more lines to an existing account, she indicated that can be done at any time, even if the plan is no longer offered to new customers. She even checked with her supervisor and came back with the same information. FWIW.
is your sms working with iphone? Mine isn't and this is horrid

Unfortunately no. Funny thing is that the last 2 Sprint reps even suggested that to me. I've still got 2.5 months left on my Mint Mobile Sim before I have to decide what to do. At this point, I'm just going to let things be with Sprint. Not that I don't want to put in any more effort or not that I don't want the promo again but as silly as it sounds, I just see it as a sign and my gut tells me to leave it be. I'm not going to be mad that Sprint Credit wouldn't set up a new account. After all, there's so many more important things to worry about. I'm not looking at it as potentially losing a 2nd year free. I look at it as I was one of the lucky few that had 1 year free unlimited. I was an ideal Sprint customer though as I never abused it and used less than 1 GB every single month.

Oakbrook Terrace checking in here. Btw I just bought a used Verizon iPhone 5S off Nextdoor Site for $55 to activate on the Free year BYOD plan. I stopped at Apple store in Oakbrook & was given a Sim card but the rep said why can't you get one from Sprint. I just said that's it's a special promo I'm trying to sign up for online and not in retail store.

apologies, but basic question about the T-Mobile porting.. I read the wiki multiple times, but probably missed some finer detail..

I've 2 Digital SIM's which I'd bought from eBay and used for port-in and out to Sprint last July.. I tried to use them again now at the following T-Mobile link to initiate the port-process but I keep getting the "Sorry, SIM can't be used on our network" at the thispage link [t-mobile.com] .. Is this the correct link?
Also, I tried with a separate T-Mobile SIM Card which I'd as a spare and I got the same error..

Can someone correct me what could be wrong.
I had the same problem with a digital sim I purchased last Oct. When I called Tmobile, they said the sim number shows in their system as "defective" so I guess it expired in some way? I purchased a new one from Ebay and it was fine.
