So I just did the porting to tmobile pay as you go with my digital SIM. Lady over phone told me that my Tmobile account number will be my 1 added before my phone number. Is the correct, can someone verify?
Based on previous posts, Tmobile has two systems. the old one does not need you to fund your account, and the account is your phone number. The new one will require you to fund it and it will generate different account number. You can always set up mytmobile and log in to see your account number once you number is transferred.

Right - it is already the 4th in the Philippines and the U.S. East Coast and the 4th is the last day.

The GV # should be fine if it passes https://shop2.sprint.com/NASApp/o...PECLanding

The rep might be using a strict interpretation of the port criteria. 99% of reps will accept any number. Maybe call it bandwidth.com which may sound better. Just tell him you know it will go though. He is trying too hard to pre-screen for problems, that's all. It should be no skin off his back to go with it.

I trust you called the number ending in 8777.

I would just call again.
Yup, it passed the check on the link you provided, just like it passed the checker in this post. And, yes, that's the number I called, so it was most likely the rep not knowing what she was doing. Gonna call again and this time im going to say it's from Bandwidth.com. Thanks for the suggestion.

Sure you can do it without the phone, at least unless something comes up that requires them to text the phone for security verification. But that does not normally come up during activation.

It may be best to have her call in, or conference call with her, because we have seen cases where the husband fails the identity quiz trying to answer the questions for the wife.

HOWEVER I am not so sure it is a benefit to use up all SSN's in the same offer though. That will exclude both of you from other offers that come along, including SWAC (employee referral) plans which are very attractive. I would not do it.
I guess I'll think about it then? Maybe your right? I suppose I'm also being greedy and should be grateful for the excellent deal that I just got. I wonder tho if I should try to add that other friends Boost Mobile phone now before this ends on 4/4 or just wait and try to add later?

If you have the sim number and the imei of the phone I guess you can activate the phone. Just tell the rep yeah yeah that it's all good and it takes time for it to connect to the network and you have to go. Also as comintel advises, and as a good thing to do try not to pretend you are someone else during the application even though you know everything about the other person. I use mine, my wife's and my kid's ssn and they are with me during the application. . For me it's good not to have 2 accounts at the same time unless you really need 10 lines. Watch if another crazy deal happens and that's the time you would use your wife as a new account etc. Examples are the Essential, LG G6, iPhone SE deals...
Yes that makes sense!! But I suppose I could add that friends Boost Mobile phone now just to have it added as another line in case that ends after 4/4 or I could just wait to see what happens? Tia Ron 🙂🤗

mytmobile cant be setup since the SIM are digital. btw, I have not paid anything while porting. Does that mean I have the phone number as my account #. Whats the worst that can happen during porting if I try with invalid account number. It will fail right and I can try later when I have correct account number? Any idea guys?

As Genghis_Khan said, it depends how many lines you will need in total. If it will be over 5, then you need 2 accounts.

As to being greedy, I want to be as greedy as possible by being able to take up other offers which means keeping one or more SSNs free IF POSSIBLE.

As to when to activate a particular phone, that is not as critical as is whether you have enough accounts to cover all lines that WILL BE needed. If you foresee needing 6 or 7 lines, then yes you need two accounts and you have to get them now..,

Yes you can correct it later if it fails so you need not hesitate.

It will be 1+ number if you did not pay.

Yes, if you didn't pay during the porting, it means you were using their old system, and the account number is your phone number (maybe add 1 in front) as the lady told you. It should be good.

For me, I was asked to set up payment and funded my plan. I was not given any account number. later I can set up my account online just using my phone number, pin, and even with only digital sim, verification was through my email without requiring using my phone.

We used to say no but somebody posted that it worked fine the other day.
It might still be slightly risky.

Well I probably don't need more than the 5 lines now. I figured even if I move 3 other of my kids down the road that's still only 4 line's. Still leaves me with one extra line left for phone or tablet line, Etc. Think me and wife will then just stay on T-Mobile but change our current plan? We have LG V30's & I don't really want to buy new phones plus they won't be paid off till next march. I also have a TMO LG V20 as a back up phone.

Guess I could always add my wife later if another good promo comes out.

As long as the SIM is compatible with the phone you're planning to use, yes. Sprint uses different models of SIM cards for different phones.

Sure.

On the other hand if you see more potential and flexibility in your particular circumstances in having extra phones, do not let me talk you out of it, and in that case an extra account may make more sense. Maybe extra phones for the car, for the guest room, etc

You can always give it up later.
