Where is everyone going to go once their free year is up?
the type of deals that will be available at that tine is unknown...therefor

its really to answer this question at this time.

sprint merger looks like its in trouble the longer it drags on the less likely it will come to fruition

maybe S will bring back the 1 Y F plan...or the $15 KS..or retention may have a $20 plan

all is up in air...

so my guess is most have no idea where they will go.

a few, i am guessing will go back to where they came from...cricket, metro, mint etc

There are so many MVNO options out there. This website www.bestmvno.com is a great site to compare cell phone plan's & services. I've been following it for a few years now. The owner really puts some great content on that site. Maybe I'll add it to the Wiki later? Tia Ron 🙂

Swappa says its fine as well.

The CSR ppl I've spoken to said its fine on their end but just wont activate.

Maybe the FED check doesnt show up for them, although I'd assume that it would have popped up immediately when you entered the IMEI.

Given FED I'm guessing it wasnt paid off, but again it doesnt show on Sprint.
Quote from comintel :
Well you could try a corporate owned Sprint store.

The system might be suppressing the FED check error to hide it in order to be "discrete".
Did you say it went on ok originally before you swapped it off?

Did it work then?

If so, maybe try to put it back on the same way - port it in as an added line with a number from another carrier (number for port from ebay). You can switch things around later hopefully.

Or am I misunderstanding what happened?

XM changed the term: right now, w/o other services, it is $20 per line.
Well that's a bummer. Can you sign up for Comcast Xfinity Internet then or do you have a friend and or Family member who might do this for you? Also I heard that Comcast is very bad at delivering rebates.

Sorry, I mean when I ported over and signed up, it was accepted without a problem by the CSR.

Only it wouldnt activate and I thought that the port had messed up or I just needed to wait a bit for things to settle.

But the port was good, it just wont activate on Sprint. I did a swap via online account to the G6 and that went fine.

Yeah, I figure at this point a corporate store is the next step. I'm fully expecting to be told the reason is coz its not paid up.

You win some you lose some Smilie

Says, "Please check with your service provider to configure this device" or something similar.

Ting says FED but it signs up fine on Sprint and no warning when I enter the IMEI on the Sprint BYOD page.

No idea re MVNO. Ebay purchase, which may say it all right there..
I would check software and make sure it is LS998 software and not US998 software, otherwise you would need flash or send it back.
Someone had similiar problem with a LG V30+ with activating(was accepted by sprint system but would not physically activate on Sprint).
Background Sprint LG v30+(ls998) is approved by Sprint, also LG V30S US998R unlocked approved by Sprint. LGV30+ unlocked model US998U is not approved by Sprint.
My guess you have an LS998 but may be flashed to US998U firmware so IMEI passes but firmware prevents activation. I could not explain FED or reason for not able to swap back on.
From other post seems like BREED was selling LS998 devices flashed with V30+ unlocked firmware and calling them US998U V30+ unlocked devices.
YMMV and only my opinion.

For those that have billing date that ends on the 14th/15th and free year of service ending on 04/30/19, what's the best date to port out/cancel so that we won't be charged with new rate plan? Thanks.

Language of the agreement is "savings through" which *should* mean up 'til 5/15. So port out, say, a few day before (~5/12) just in case your port gets stuck. If you're distrustful of the "savings through" language, port out on April 27th and don't look back.
