It depends whether you are trying to match the low price, or the high-end data.

There is nothing that matches both,

You get radically different alternatives, almost opposite ends of the low-priced market, depending on which of those is more important to you.

So if you can be more specific as to your usage patterns and what you are looking for, it will be easier to make suggestions.

Need help- I switched to this one year free plan in November 2018 using my husband ssn for his and my nbr. Now he has to move to different carrier due to work reason. Can I still stay on this plan or not.

I assume you have one line each.

Sure, just port out his number by dealing with his new carrier. The new carrier will take care of it.
No contact with Sprint is needed other than making sure you have the account number and pin to give to the new carrier..

Your own phone will stay active on this plan.

Add suggestions for cheaper phone plans? Not a data hog and around WiFi all the time, need tips for around $30. Should I try Project Fi? Thanks.

Yes - for the unlimited data, which you are not going to find elsewhere for anything like that price. And you will be able to keep it without expiration.

Also potentially SWAC for $30 which is even better, but requires a Sprint employee referral. No referrals are available right now, but I predict they will have another effectively wide-open period sometime later this year, like they did last year (it was an employee contest to give out as many referrals as they could)..

edog11 would be able to tell you, but if he is not around I think you could call Retentions tonight to cancel (they will give you time to port out your number). (You cannot cancel by chat or online).

I have one line on the BYOD free plan that I signed up recently. I now want to add a second line. Doing it online just shows me the kickstart $25 plan even though under my account I can see that additional lines can be added for $5 per month (and $5 autopay discount bringing it to zero). But I cant seem to do that online when I try.
Telesales seems to be having issues everytime I call and their reason is there is some corporate code on my account which is preventing them from adding a line. Anyone else faced similar issues?

Assuming that I can create a new account with a family member, do you think I can go straight from the free plan to unlimited basic? Or will I need to port out and back in? I read on Reddit that the number has to be off Sprint for 45 days, though maybe that poster was confusing it the new account requirement.

Can I go straight from free plan to kickstart? If I have to port out, I might as well port back to unlimited basic instead of kickstart.

I'm open to going elsewhere too. I have 4 lines and don't want to pay more than $100. Too bad the Metro free iphone promos are over.
