Ok 844-382-3317 is Retentions so they gave you a Retention Offer.

But is your free plan expiring? If so, what will the 4 lines cost?

You can get a $250 per line credit if you port out FIRST and take a Recovery offer instead. BUT you could not get the 4 lines for $100 offer with that.
Thank you. Yes, as i miss the April deadline my account is expiring. if i keep it post the statement date, will the $100 credit cover next month, or they are going to revoke it if i cancel on the same month? I am not sure about the kick start as i am using around 15 GB of data.

Most offers say the credit is cancelled unless you keep the plan for 30 days. You plan month dates factor in here - obviously. $100 is not going to go very far.

Kickstart is also unlimited data for $25 a month.

But with 4 (or even 5) lines, you could also use https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/pl...-plan.html for the 5 lines for $100 offer. That price may expires at year end and could go up.

Kickstart keeps going at the same price (we think). There are pros and cons.

For many of these you would have to port out and in and for some a different SSN may be needed.

There is also the $250 a line credit from RECOVERY but you cannot combine that with another offer.

Overall, personally I would get all 4 lines ported off ASAP. Then you will get the best offers AFTER that (not until that is done).

If you are VERY skilled at doing these things, you can cancel the lines now, but effective at the end of your current plan period, and (only) then you may be able to access the recovery offers early before actually leaving. But it would be risky to try to do it that way without a full understanding of porting and the risk of losing your numbers, and reading all the prior posts on this very carefully.

I had been calling *2 from the phone and speaking "SIM UNLOCK" at the prompt.

I just called the number you posted and gave the phone info again to the guy. He didn't say anything about previous attempts. I confirmed he said it was for domestic and international unlock request.

Thanks for the continued help here. I hope this gets it done this time.

slightly off here...
i am wanting to move a single sprint iphone off by replacing it with a new iphone soon. the current phone is locked to sprint.
i called for a sim domectic unlock and they said yes.
it didn't go through and is still locked because the phone wont accept a t-mobile, verizon, or at&t sim. yes the iphone is capable of t-mobile or GSM sims.
i called again and they said ok again. nothing again.
i called again and now they say it is complete unlocked already and if they ask for another unlock it will only lock the device.

i called apple and they say the device is "unlocked, with sprint Blocked Policy"
does that mean Apple says its unlocked internationally but still locked domestic?

who can i call at sprint to fix this?, because when i call and ask for a supervisor to help, they say they can do it and i don't need a supervisor for this.

I am not sure who you called or got put though to but Unlocks are handled by Account Services at 844-382-3317 if you have not spoken to them yet.

This new number you provided did the trick and my phone is now unlocked. Only took a few hours also.

Great to hear!

I think the other way, the way that you had trouble with, (that does not go through Account Services/ Retentions) is intended to mainly handle international unlocks, for people who are just planning to travel.

Account Services/ Retentions is supposed to handle unlocks for people who want to be able to move the phone to another U.S. carrier.

The general support reps, always confused about everything, often fail to understand that.

They just email you a link to

https://www.sprint.com/en/landing...print.html

Just say you got the email if they ask what prompted you to call.

They just look up by your number to see of it is eligible.

Note that you must have ALREADY CANCELLED and I would suggest then wait a few days before calling.

You cannot access this offer before cancelling...

finally my port in port out game completed and I got $500 total credit added to my account for bringing back 2 lines I ported out. they put me in $30 plan with unlimited talk and text but only 2GB LTE data. Approximately 8 months of free service with more cautious on data usage.
You ported in to at&t? I am thinking to port out strint BYOD expiring soon. Wondering which network would provide better deal.
Any suggestions?

TIA

I recently switched to Visible.com which is owned by Verizon. They offer unlimited everything for 40 dollars a month. If you use promo code vQfRV they will take 20 dollars off your first month and they will give you a 100 dollar MasterCard if you use their service for 2 months. They also have some killer deals on iPhones right now so it's definitely worth checking out. The service has been great so far.

You yourself have mentioned it in this thread, but it's now buried. The logic behind unlocks being handled by retentions (aka account services) is that unlocking is usually the first step to leaving Sprint. Having the two functions under one roof affords them an opportunity to try and get you to stay.

What's the cheapest plan available under recovery scheme. I've 4 lines on my account and as per them I can get $250 reactivation credit per line when I reactivate two or more — that's $1,000. Can I get https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/pl...plan.html?
4 lines in $100? that would be almost 10 months free?

I believe people were told no for that specific offer because it is a limited time promotion ending at the end of this year. The Recovery offer cannot be stacked with other promotions.

But something along those lines, yes. Maybe some people who did it with multiple lines will post more details.

Otherwise you will have to call them and I doubt they will talk to you until you have already cancelled.

Others would know better than me on that. TMobile Prepaid (as usual), H2O, and NumberBarn have been mentioned recently.

There is a possibility you might not have to port out at all but I do not want to take things from others all the time so please read other people's posts on that and ask them if you want to try that as it is a little complicated. I think it may be more straightforward just to port out, personally.
