Question: old account has an repeater/extender still attached to it under my SSN but hasn't been on the plan for almost a year. My wife's SSN is on our account that ends 11/30/19. Do I need to close out and return my repeater/extender now with the hopes of using my SSN successfully again?

We need someone to verify an end date.

Come on Monkeybiz, you can do it.
If someone does have a phone whose IMEI qualifies at
https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/br...print.html with a sim that worked in that same phone on a Sprint mvno, they should be able to sign up and activate immediately.

There is no need to get a new sim in that case.

Why don't you get them to move it to your wife's account?

That will free up the old account totally.

You are not supposed to keep it in an otherwise inactive account anyway.

You cannot have two accounts under the same SSN.

They have discretion but yes, I would make the change one way or the other to keep things easy.

I just tested a Tribute HD that I recently pulled from Tello. ESN will clear TING but not Sprint.
It may still work but you have to "bother" a sprint salesperson.

Sorry, please bring your phone to a Sprint Store so we can help.

If it has prepaid origin (as the vast majority of Tribute HD's do), they will not let it on postpaid regardless. Sales people would not help.

I have two of them.

They do allow them on mvno's but not on postpaid.

(I also have two other Tribute HD's that were sold for postpaid use and they go on fine of course - but I had to search far and wide to identify and buy those on EBay. Sellers do not distinguish them but we as buyers have to.).

Sprint tracks their original sale status. If you go to a store or persist on the phone they can investigate it but it is not likely to turn out in your favor.

I think most likely they are waiting to update the date on the page until their publicity and staff training apparatus has geared up.

Meanwhile they have enabled the offer so that they can claim to higher management that it is up and running. Probably it was a high level decision and managers were told to make it happen immediately..

I do not think we need to wait for the official updates and publicity. As long as it is up and running, that is enough.

As soon as one person confirms they have signed up and can confirm the expiry date they got, I would suggest we reactivate this thread. Maybe now.
FWIW I ported a line over this afternoon from Visible. The rep asked when I got my BYOD line and frequently mentioned how good it was I got in before it was killed on 4/4. I said I heard it was on offer again and she said no...only Kickstarter for $25. Just today's rep data point...

Very interesting! So people may have problems actually if they call in, possibly depending on the rep.

Hopefully they will all get educated and the time needed for that is a factor in why Sprint is leaving the web page looking out of date.

However some reps are always confused and out of date anyway too...

Also the link to activate
(sprint.com/activatenow) says to call even if signed up online and order sim.
So you must call in regardless.

Do you mean the new added lines have a different ending date than your current line(s)?

So wait,
I am on Sprint already and my one year plan expired last month. I am already paying full price for all four lines.

If I add a new line to my account, is there a way to get all five lines back on the free one year plan?
