Need some help, can you still add a line to this for free? If so, do you need to call them or can you do it online?
Yes, nothing has changed.
You still have to call the number ending in 8777 and port in a number as before. No you never could do it online and you still cannot.
Also do not ask them if you can do it, just tell them you are adding a free line that was previously approved (for up to 5 lines at any time).

As of 9/7/19 no changes to Kickstart but higher surcharge $0.40 to $0.99 coming for all lines and plans.
Regulatory Charge Increase
Effective with your Nov. bill, the Regulatory Charge will increase to $0.99 mo./line.
This will be in the Surcharges section of your bill. Cancel service(s) directly or indirectly affected w/in 30 days of the change w/o incurring an ETF (IB/Lease charges still apply).
Thanks for the summary.

Just now it comes to light that stores are now selling a new Kickstart V3 for $10 more.

We will have to see if that appears online as well. So far there is no change visible online.

There were earlier indications that new KickStart might include Hotspot, and that V2 might be adjusted to include a small hotpot. I have asked in the reddit thread.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Sprint/c..._now_35mo/

However, a reply says there is no hotspot still:
Quote :
This is it: "Unlimited Talk, Text and Data. $40/line/mo. Unlimited Anytime Minutes. Unlimited Messaging. SD Streaming. Sprint Global Roaming. Eligible for $5 per line/per month AutoPay discount."
Unless something changes, this amounts to a major price increase in-store (but, so far at least, not online). I suspect something is up though - surprises still to come.

I was thinking that. I guess Ill do that. Thanks 💪 What should I do about her plan?
Give the data she uses, I would just sign her up for kickstart - do it online or via telesales to get the $25 price and do so before it changes (stores sell it for $35 now) - inlimited data, talk and text. this is the safest option to me as that price should not change for some time once you are signed up

You could also try the special at Ting - Enjoy unlimited talk, text and up to 20GB for just $20/mo through 2019. But they say that price expires 12/31/19 - only time will tell if it does

Anyone changed SIM card? Could it be done online under my own account without chatting with bot or dialing the customer service line? Thanks.

You can just use regular Chat if you prefer.
By the way, just curious why you are changing the sim? I am sure there are good reasons for it but i cannot think of any ones that arise commonly unless maybe the sim ICCID is entered wrong or the sim gets lost etc..

Any idea what could happen on September 5? The following quote came from a verified 3rd party retail rep on Reddit [reddit.com].

The 5th also happens to be the date the prepaid mastercard deal ends. With all the recent talk about the free year popping up again and then disappearing, I wonder if that's when we could see it go officially live again.

Also the $200 MasterCard offer was extended to 11/7 by the way.
https://www.sprintpromotionshub.c...NEWLINE719

(probably does not apply to kickstart by the way).

Has anyone that was a new Sprint customer signed up for Kickstart and received the MC offer?

I am going to port out 4 lines from Sprint to Mint. Then after 6 months of $10/month per line, I will port back into Sprint and take the best available plan at the time. Today is the final day to take advantage of the "buy 3 months/get 3 months free" from Mint.

this is a very good plan and an interesting offer.

i am considering it, however:

1. Tmobile service not work well near my house at last check (~3 years ago)

2. Currently on the Sprint free plan till 1/31/2020

Totally understand. My Sprint free year ends September 30, 2019. This option came up at a great time.

Just fyi I think the most likely merger effective date is 4/1/2020 but possibly 7/1/2020 or even 1/1/2020. It could also never happen etc.

The State Ag trial starts 12/9/2019.

If you're on Android, and since you're on Sprint/TMO, you can test your (current) TMo strength by buying Signal Check Pro (~$2) and disabling your Sprint bands. It's a bit OT, so you'll have to google it.

ETA I believe TMo Test Drive is also still available.

I will watch with interest for answers to your post but I doubt it. Even existing customers who add a KickStart line have been turned down.

I think a free plan customer may be eligible though for one added free line. I have applied for that and so far it is still processing.

have anyone ported out to t-mobile $10 internet plan(prepaid plan) and successfully port back to sprint? I already have a t-mobile sim card and wish to use this route instead of going to a t-mobile store and use their ultra mobile $3 per day prepaid plan.

The other day I spilled water on the sim card :-( It still works fine but I am thinking to get a new one.
