Just so people know, Hello's extremely-misleading definition of unlimited everything for data is actually limited to only 15 GB at high speed, a small fact they do not mention on their site except in the legalese. . After 15 GB (sometimes before) they cut you to 2G speeds. And there is no guarantee they will keep their plans or rates.

They will confirm all that if you ask them.

https://bestmvno.com/mvnos/hello-mobile/ and numerous sites and forums

Kickstart from BestBuy will give you unthrottled unlimited everything (could be subject to deprioritization) for the same price that will not increase as long as the plan is maintained (which is at least 3 years under Sprint's policy and the merger rate guarantee).
Thanks. Those are all valid concerns, but they don't really affect me personally at this time. My family has RARELY come close 9 GB per line. We tend to hover at around 3 to 6 GB each. If Hello Mobile raises their rates beyond what I'm willing to pay for their service, I'm free to just find another carrier. As of right now, they seem to be OK.

Just wanted to add that I transferred one of my lines to HelloMobile.com just before I found out that Sprint had extended the free deal by two months. Since I just wanted to use the same phone and phone number, porting over to Hello Mobile was pretty painless. I started the port on Friday and it was complete by the following Tuesday. This was a month ago and I haven't experienced any issues. $25 for unlimited everything for one line. The rate goes down with multiple lines and less high speed data. I plan to transfer the rest of my lines to them which will bring the rate per line down to $17 for the unlimited everything plan.

I am also looking into switching to the $17 Hello Mobile family plan when this plan ends. The 15 gb cap could potentially be a problem. I apparently use up somewhere between 14-17 gb per month.

Do you have a suggestion for a cheaper family plan than the kickstart plan from best buy?

Unfortunately, looking at https://prepaidcompare.net/ , there is nothing cheaper or even equivalent for that usage level.

Hi, hope this message finds you all well. I need help with this question? I am currently porting lines to Xfinity for their $50 gc promo. but I need one more phone to get one more $50 gc to make 5 lines. Can I possibly port in a line using a nonworking phone? (the phone won't power on after screen replace), the IMEI is eligible for Xfinity. Thanks a lot for any input.

Ohh... thank you so so much... I wish my kid would be that nice and easy going like yours... Mine is very set on iPhone 11 pm due to the 3 cameras on it, and it was a several months of battle that I just couldn't take any more. I also tried to negotiate using iPhone SE 2020, but didn't succeed.

BB still has the discount I mentioned. Not sure if the link that I pasted below would show correctly, but when I choose "Sprint" as the carrier, then 3 pricing options pop up. One of them is "$1069.99 when you upgrade, one-time payment". When I click on that option, then the price becomes "$1069.99 with activation today. Save $30. 2 free items with purchase". Then I click on the 2 free items, it shows $50 BB GC and 4 months apple music.

Hello Mobile $25/month is pretty good, but do they charge tax & fees?
I think Visible does not charge tax, but $25/month only we have a party of 4.

It's too early for any extensions of the May 31 expiration, it's only the beginning of May.
There may be an automatic extension just like last time towards the end of the month.
Check your account after Memorial day to see the expiration date.
If it's not extended, call and see if it's possible.
If the 5/31 expiration is extended then the 6/30 expiration will be too.
But if these dates are extended it'll be the last time, and it may be for 30 days only.

There is a good chance of an extension, but now after the merger this may no longer be feasible.
Remember, the last extension was done before the April 1 effective merger date.

A poster named Rolanda_Shaniqua posted this on post #43414 on how to check your expiration date:

"1. Log in to your Sprint account online.
2. Choose and click on the device you want to find the plan information on.
3. You will then see the name of your current plan. To the right of that, click the "View Details" link.
4. Under the name of your plan there is a box on the left showing your data usage. Directly under that box, select and click, "See details."

The section will expand to reveal your plan details including expiration date."

You should see something like this:

Unlimited - Bring Your Phone
Unlimited Talk, Text and Data.
$5/line/mo up to 5 lines. (up to $60/line value free with AutoPay until 6/30/20)
Requires $5 per line/per month AutoPay discount.
Savings until 6/30/20; then $60/mo. for line 1, $40/mo. for line 2 and $20/mo./line for lines 3-5 with AutoPay
DVD-quality streaming.

IF on 5/31 or 6/1 you do not see a new extension date, then this is dead with no more extensions at all, not even for the 6/30 end date.
Unless you have called the Sprint Retention Dept. at 844-382-3317 and you got an extension, but that's highly unlikely. Hopefully that # will still be active.
If you do not want to continue with the $60/$40/$20/$20/$20 rate, then you should port out asap.

Plan expire 6/30
Next pay 5/21
then probably 6/20 - how much would be charged 6/20? its before expiration so I assume same $5 per line? and that would carry thru next bill date? or would 7/1 be prorated new $60 plan?

and thank you Hunter for your recent post!!

I have 2 iPhone lines, one on Sprint and the other on Mint Mobile. When I do the IMEI check on hello mobile, why does it say that the phones are incompatible ? Both phones have been paid, unlocked and not under any contract.

To get some insights as to what is the issue, I would see what Tello and Ting say for both IMEI's.

You could port from Sprint to a Sprint mvno up to now but this could change (or it could just be a Hello issue). The same could conceivably apply at some point to porting from a TMobile mvno (Mint) to a Sprint mvno, since TMobile and Sprint have merged legally.

As Desi point out,it could alsao be a matter of past debt etc. Sometimes you can activate a phone on Sprint but not on its mvno's, for example if the phone is still under lease. (It can also be the other way around)/. This is a quite likely cause.

If the same billing practice applies as up to now, then it would carry through the end of billing period at the free rate.

However, if you intend to go past 6/30, to protect yourself just in case, best try to get Sprint to confirm that at the time for your actual account number (not as a hypothetical)..

There is no prorating. It is always a full month charge once you go into a paid month.

If anyone has another interpretation, please post as this is a tricky area.
