Thanks a lot for letting me know about this option!! I was searching on their website but can't find any info about whether their phones are locked or unlocked... you might know where to get this info.

Another consideration is that once I port the number to visible, would I be able to port back into the Sprint free plan after visible? The Sprint free plan expires at end of June... not sure what would happen then, but just in case if it gets extended and I need to port the number back in. I do have another line in the sprint free plan account as well - would that help me to get back in if needed?

The visible is $25 for Month 1, then $40 per month after that. So the deal is to pay 2 months (cost $25+$40 =$65) to get $200 GC, correct?

Oh another question: I'm curious... why would you get 2 phones?

Again, thank you so much!!!
Yes! Best people ever on this thread.
If you do buy more than one phone on visible be sure to do so with a separate email address so that you receive the $200 gift card.
All visible phones are sold unlocked. Absolutely.
if you are going to port your phones from visible back to Sprint be sure you wait until you have received the gift card(s).
You have to make two payments to receive the gift cards

i don't see people adding a line or trying to port back into the sprint 1 year free plan as of this time since it will be over in the next couple of months ( i think, but who knows). the extra months are just their "pro bono" due to the pandemic. but of course you can port your numbers back to sprint, especially after 45 days, wherein you will definitely be considered a new account.

i said 2 phones on Visible cuz i think i read somewhere that you have 2 older iphones, but it is up to you how many phones you will need to purchase. you can also finance it thru Affirm and do 24 monthly payments with no interest, doesn't tie you up to stay with visible. Visible's 1st month is $25 tax included, second month is also $25 once you join a party of 4 which is very easy to do. so as long as there are 4 people in your party, you pay $25 per line a month. there will be times you will experience problems with porting etc and customer service is as crazy as sprint's, but once you are up and running you will be fine. read some more on the visible threads to see if you are up for it.

Wow, I came here to see where people are porting to after 04/30, but got the great news that it is extended automatically by two months in some cases and confirmed the same on my account!

I have an extra BYOD line which I don't need, how do i cancel it? If I cancel one line, will it impact BYOD plan overall?

Your existing line will keep your BYOD intact. To cancel you can port it into an unfunded account with an H2O wireless SIM or just call them and cancel it

Looking to lock in the $25/month Kickstart plan through Best Buy and still keep my existing phone and number that I have on my BYOD free plan that now expires the end of June. Is this the best way to accomplish this?

1. Order a free phone through BB (Moto E6)
2. Activate free phone with a new number/additional line to my existing Sprint account
3. Port my BYOD number to Google Voice the end of June
4. Activate my BYOD phone with my KS phone number the end of June
5. Use Google Voice call forwarding to my KS phone number
6. Wait for T-Mobile to grandfather my KS plan later this summer/fall

Can one use never-activated Tracfone SIM cards, intended for T-Mobile network, to activate service on post-paid T-Mobile? I have a bunch of these from the Tracfone multi-network kits.

Need to port couple of Sprint lines specifically to T-Mobile and wondering if this could save me $10 cost per T-Mobile SIM card, given that Apple Stores are closed.

Just wanted to add that I transferred one of my lines to HelloMobile.com just before I found out that Sprint had extended the free deal by two months. Since I just wanted to use the same phone and phone number, porting over to Hello Mobile was pretty painless. I started the port on Friday and it was complete by the following Tuesday. This was a month ago and I haven't experienced any issues. $25 for unlimited everything for one line. The rate goes down with multiple lines and less high speed data. I plan to transfer the rest of my lines to them which will bring the rate per line down to $17 for the unlimited everything plan.

Just so people know, Hello's extremely-misleading definition of unlimited everything for data is actually only 15 GB. After that (sometimes before before that) they cut you to 2G speeds.

And there is no guarantee they will keep their rates.

They will confirm all that if you ask but it is otherwise found only buried in their legalese. It is fraudulent advertising on their part.

Kickstart from BestBuy will give you real unlimited everything for the same price and that price will not expire as per Sprint policy as long as the plan is maintained. Admittedly some gymnastics are required to keep your number..

Just so people know, Hello's extremely-misleading definition of unlimited everything for data is actually limited to only 15 GB at high speed, a small fact they do not mention on their site except in the legalese. . After 15 GB (sometimes before) they cut you to 2G speeds. And there is no guarantee they will keep their plans or rates.

They will confirm all that if you ask them.

https://bestmvno.com/mvnos/hello-mobile/ and numerous sites and forums

Kickstart from BestBuy will give you unthrottled unlimited everything (could be subject to deprioritization) for the same price that will not increase as long as the plan is maintained (which is at least 3 years under Sprint's policy and the merger rate guarantee).
