Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

My friend ported out 1 of his lines 4 days ago and got an sms text the next day with the offer. "Receive up to a $100 reactivation credit when you reactivate one eligible line. Or up to a $250 reactivation credit per line when you reactivate two or more". So what do you think?
Looks like you have to stay with Sprint for 11-12 months to get $100 credit, and 19-20 months for $250 credit. Basically this credit brings $35/mo Kickstart line to $24-$25/mo.

"$100 service credit: $10/mo. credit for 10 months. $250 service credit: one $50 credit plus $11.11/mo. credit for 18 months. $25 service credit: Valid only when customer comes back using online live chat feature. Customer must remain in good standing for 30 days before credit is applied. Lines must remain active and in good standing consecutively through credit period or remaining offer amount will be forfeited. Initial credits applied within 2 bills."

Ah so it is still in effect then! Sure I believe that.

Great information as that adds another option for people!

Those are exactly the same terms as way it always has been.

It is not as valuable as one might think at first though because it can be used only with a regular priced plan and the credits are dribbled out over a year or more and only while you are still on the plan.

The Come Back to Sprint offer has never applied to Kickstart (beyond a token amount in earlier days) and I would be sure it still does not. You have to use it with a regular priced plan (therefore excluding also the 5 lines for $100 for a year offer for example).

However as to Kickstart, BestBuy does still have that for $25 pernanently which would be better anyway I think. BestBuy staff on reddit say purchasing a phone is not required although some have had trouble doing BYOD at BestBuy.

I see. Agree that BestBuy Kickstart would be a better option.
Just in case, here is the rest of the terms the Come Back to Sprint offer:

Tablets may stream Hulu content via included Sprint Hotspot or may subscribe to separate unlimited data plan for tablets. Not redeemable or refundable for cash or gift subscriptions. Hulu may place account on inactivity hold based on Hulu usage. Cancel Hulu anytime. See full offer terms at sprint.com/hulu. Quality of Service (QoS): Customers who use more than 50 GB of data during a billing cycle will be deprioritized during times & places where the Sprint Network is constrained. See sprint.com/networkmanagement for details. Usage Limitations: To improve data experience for the majority of users, throughput may be limited, varied or reduced on the network. Sprint may terminate service if off-network roaming usage in a month exceeds: (1) 800 min. or a majority of min.; or (2) 100 MB or a majority of KB. Prohibited use rules apply—see sprint.com/termsandconditions. Service Credit Offer: Receive a service credit for each smartphone reactivated line of service. Customer must remain in good standing for 30 days before credit is applied. No cash back. Credit applied to bill. Not transferable. Other Terms: Offer/coverage not available everywhere or for all phones/networks. Accounts that cancel lines within 30 days of activating on promo pricing may void savings. Right - I do not see anything there that would change things.

Overall I think the Come Back to Sprint offer is not the best choice for most people at the moment.

Yes, there are better options IMHO.
For those with 4-5 lines, Verizon promotion seems to be better. Or may be even Amazon/Sprint $100 SIM card promotion, if combined with referrals, CB, credit union and/or Walgreens gift cards.
For 1-2 lines: 1) BestBuy Kickstart is good for those who want unlimited service with a possibility to lock into that rate longer-term with Sprint/T-Mobile.
2) AT&T $250 port-in promotion. Now it has limit of 2 rebates per account, but still can be an option to consider.
3) For low usage people, RedPocket through eBay has 360-day $30 ($2.50/mo) plan for Sprint-compatible phones, with 200 min/1000 texts/200Mb data monthly. I ported two lines from Sprint free plan that ended Jan. 31, no complaints so far. Can be used as a back up phone. No need to order new sim card, current one will work.
4) Tracfone has yearly plans for low usage people. For instance, 1200/1200/3Gb plan was $30 recently. Ported my last number from Sprint free plan a few days ago to that plan.

You can port to H2O for about $1 (sim card cost) and let the number die there, don't buy a plan. Transfer worked practically instantaneously for me.

desi's offer is a great solution for you, jump on it! Smilie
Once your last number is ported out, that means your account with all lines is cancelled, though you can still access it online even if there are no more lines there. You can log into your Sprint account and check if your line disappeared from your account.
