Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I see it had Calling Plus on Sprint which makes me suspect that the intention originally was to migrate it to VoLTE on Sprint. I know there were some Moto phones which were planned for VoLTE around the end of last year but that project was never completed as the merger got close.

I imagine they could do an update to the Sprint version of that phone (if even needed) to support TMobile VoLTE. They will probably be updating a lot of phones. Whether that one makes the cut probably depends on how much Motorola/Lenovo would charge them for the update, I suspect the list of which Moto phones get such updates (where needed) is under negotiation with Lenovo (and the same for other manufacturers' models). A lot of decisions will have to be made.

For Sprint phones that they cannot readily make work on TMobile (including VoLTE), they may offer some upgrade deals.

Otherwise the worst case would be that they leave it orphaned on the legacy Sprint network after almost everything current is moved off, getting poorer and poorer service over 3 years as they take over most of band 41 and even band 25 for TMobile-style LTE and 5G. Really they would like to shut down the legacy Sprint network as much as possible so they will make every effort to get any phones they can off it. Their plan is to consolidate everybody possible on the TMobile network. Unfortunately the version of LTE that they plan on using on band 41 turned out to have to be incompatible with the version Sprint is using, so they plan on phasing out the Sprint legacy LTE on that band.
You are right. This phone was slated to get an update which would allow volte. Didn't quite make it.
So hopefully, as you say, it will be able to use T-Mobile's band 41 for volte in the future.
This phone was never a success, more of a niche market, so I doubt they will put much effort in.
We will see!
Comintel, I have said it a dozen times but bears repeating:
Your knowledge, effort, and patience to explain hundreds of things to thousands of people these few years has been truly outstanding.
I thank you sir

Multiple BestBuy reps have posted on reddit that you do not have to buy a phone at all if you do it in-store.
Are you saying one can port in to Sprint kickstart plan in Best-buy store @$25/line without buying any device.

Yes at some stores at least according to posts:

See for example
https://www.reddit.com/r/Sprint/c...st_buy_on/
and others.

You can try and see if they will do it at your local Best Buy store

It depends when your extension ends, May 31 or June 30. This is shown on your bill. I cannot tell that for sure from the information in your post.

Formally you can can close an account only by either porting out or by talking to Retentions whose number is 844-382-3317.

You can insist on closing earlier than an end of billing cycle date but it usually does you no actual good to do so (unless someone is maybe just a little over and wants to argue it was close enough).

Given that there is often confusion as to which dates apply, in general it is best to port out, as suggested by dmart9. You can do so free (except for the cost of the sim card) by porting to H2O.
Doesn't H2o port require to buy some sort of plan ? What's their cheapest plan ?

To be on the safe side you may NOT want to use Mint.
If there are porting problems and your # stays with Sprint, your account will still be active and you'll be charged.
Better try another company with no porting issues.
People here use H2O.
I was thinking of porting out from sprint to this mint 7 day plan. I need the numbers but don't see any other good options at the moment ?

Apart from getting me extra 7 days to figure out which provider to go to are porting to these trial mint Sims good for anything else ?

If I decide to continue how long does MINT allow to load/buy a plan before I lose the number any idea ?

Ryan Reynolds ad is good but not sure how good is the service.

The service is T-Mobile, if that's good in your area, you're ok.
Amazon reviews on the 7 day sim about porting are not good, read them.
It's good if you get a new # with Mint to test the service, but would not rely on this trial for porting a # that's valuable to you and if you expect the port out to terminate your previous account with Sprint quickly.

Moto E6 unlocked is free if you activate online today for $25 kickstart plan. Shipping is free. There will be hard credit pull to setup new account with Sprint in-store or online. Store visit not required.

Thanks.
I checked mint coverage in my area - shows excellent according to their map
I guess I could just order a regular MINT plan when the time comes.
Does mint send a free sim with order ?
Also any benefit with multi-line account ? Or individual lines works out better ?

Hello awesome people, do your phone settings, apps, and messages remain intact when you update your Sprint firmware and security update OTA?

I lost them all today on a Samsung and a LG phone, which is weird. Luckily, I have backup.

Today is the day 1 million phones were to to be moved from connecting via Sprint's network to TMobile, which could be related.

I myself got my VoiceMail settings refreshed. I suppose they moved it to TMobile, or to be ready for TMobile, or whatever..

Yes.
No. But Mint has a referral program that you should check out, maybe you can refer the other lines and get some benefit, if that works out for you.

Yeah they are actual sending that text to everyone in stages and the final word on it after much discussion on reddit is that it does not mean anything specific for the people who receive it really.
This sounds right. Getting the text meant nothing for me, other than there was a big TMobile / Sprint outage here yesterday. Couldn't make or receive calls. Today, that problem is gone, but still low signal. Apparently I'm still using Sprint towers.

But if I force the phone into 3G mode, I get full bars. I'll take this, because I'm not really a fan of my Airave. Maybe I can return it now...
